Central Valley out of Spokane, Washington has been a perennial power for many years and they opened up their 2021-2022 season with an away game at Post Falls in Idaho.
Central Valley won the the last 4A State Championship in Washington in 2020, but this year’s group is an entirely new look without a single impact rotation player from that title winning team. Post Falls has been practicing for a month to Central Valley’s two weeks of practice and it was apparent in this game as Post Falls appeared to be in superior conditioning. Post Falls jumped to a 26-11 lead after one quarter and never looked back winning 65-47. Some player notes from the game are listed below.
2024 5’10 PF Capri Sims (Post Falls HS) – Knocked down a three, attacks the basket to score, rebounds strong. Solid small college prospect.
2022 5’5 G Alexis Heath (Post Falls HS) – Quick guard, plays exceptionally hard, gets to the paint to make plays. Quality transition scorer. Coming off knee injury, but looked healthy and strong.
2022 5’4 PG Trinidie Nichols (Post Falls HS) – Super quick point guard with next level gear in her step. Attacks the basket aggressively and finishes with skill. Can help a small college.
2024 5’6 PG Brooklynn Brennan (Post Falls HS) – Another quick guard for Post Falls. Brennan showed off her scoring ability in flashes. Drives and kicks for open looks.
2023 6’2 C Paige Jackson Paige Jackson 6'2" | C Central Valley | 2023 State WA (Central Valley HS) – A prospect with potential and working to put everything together. Jackson finished with two points, but she has good length and runs the floor well. She communicates on defense and gives solid effort. Best basketball ahead of her.
2023 5’7 SG Autumn Agnew Autumn Agnew 5'7" | PG Central Valley | 2023 State WA (Central Valley HS) – Strong guard, solid athlete, makes plays off the bounce and comfortable getting her own shot off. Steady presence for CV.
2025 5’6 PG Gabbie Wilson Gabbie Wilson 5'6" | PG Central Valley | 2025 WA (Central Valley HS) – Young PG, first varsity experience. Showed some flashes knocking down jumpers and driving to score. Decision making and composure will grow with more time.
2022 5’11 C Natalie Brown Natalie Brown 5'11" | C Central Valley | 2022 State WA (Central Valley HS) – Showed some flashes of quality post presence. Scrapped for O boards, nice baby hook shot. Solid rebounding presence on defense. Small college prospect.
