Dabbs Sunday Stockrisers
Amiel Jones Amiel Jones 5'10" | SF Huber Heights Wayne | 2025 OH , 5-10 2025, Huber Heights Wayne
As an incoming freshman on a young team, Ameil will get her chance to step onto the big stage and shine right away from the Warriors. She showed good range as she continues to grow her game, along with athleticism and is very fluid on the court. She did a nice job knocking down her free throws and showed a lot of smart basketball IQ for such a young player. Excellent court awareness and vision.
Morgan Rohling, 5-7 2024, Cincinnati Roger Bacon
She is only a sophomore, but as I said in an earlier story, some talented players graduated last season meaning new players need to step up. That is what Morgan did on Sunday, as she showed excellent ball handling skills and really moved well in the offense. She showed good court awareness and for a sophomore really stepped into the point guard role nicely. Poised and skilled.
Matea Bartel, 5-10 2022, Cincinnati Colerain
While all of the attention was focused on the McNally twins, it was Matea (feature photo above) who had moments of very solid play as she could be considered one of the rising seniors in the region. She has good range out beyond the arc and has good length. Can play strong and physical and has nice handles. A good third option for the Cardinals and she can provide some good leadership.
Liliana Friesen, 5-11 2023, Cincinnati Summit Country Day
This was the first time I saw her play and was impressed with her overall skillset. She is a strong, physical post who holds her position well in the paint. Liliana is a good post defender, moves well and is able to step out and guard up top. In addition to her game down low, she showed good range out on the perimeter. Continue to work!
Katelyn Reilly, 5-7 2023, Huber Heights Wayne
With Wayne a team that I have seen a few times this season, Katelyn is a junior who can be a good leader for a team who is still trying to establish their identity after losing so many seniors. She showed a good knack for the midrange shot, a lost art in the game today. She is an active defensive player with good handles and has another year to keep improving.
