Carmel and after two impressive wins to start the season they look like heavy favorites to win the IAAM B. They have a solid starting five, and some young but good bench talent to work with, and are playing in several big events to showcase their talent. Ahmirie Hopson, 2022, Guard
Ahmirie is smooth lefty with a killer mid range game. She has a knack for coming up with timely baskets to settle the team down when needed. She can step out to the three point line and get to rim so she is providing three level scoring. She can give the team quality minutes at point guard if necessary and is a willing and capable defender.
Tsion Smith Tsion Smith 5'2" | CG Mount Carmel | 2022 State MD , 2022, Guard
Tsion has already posted a 25 point game this season that included 6 three pointers. She can stroke it from deep. She is also a strong defender, capable of guarding bigs and guards effectively. She brings the toughness to the team. College coaches should be circling the wagon as she is still undecided on a school.
Jai’den Anderson Jai’den Anderson 5'9" | SG Shabach Christian Academy | 2023 State MD , 2023, Center
Hawa sets the tone on both ends of the court for this team. At 6’5″ she anchors the defense and controls the boards. Most teams do not even bother to attack the paint due to her shot blocking and altering prowess. Her offense has really blossomed and she is dominant in the paint which opens up room for the shooters on the team.
Dania Madden, 2023 Wing
Dania is the glue of the team, doing whatever is needed on a game by game basis to help the team win. She defends, rebounds, scores and makes all the hustle plays.
Anylah Davis, Guard, 2023
Ms. Davis is the engine. She is a tough and quick point guard that attacks the lane relentlessly, dishing off to cutters or kicking it out to shooters if she’s not finishing herself. She’s fearless and has a short memory so it’s on from the opening tip to the final buzzer.
