Ciera Toomey 6’4 Dunmore HS
When it comes to stretch four players it starts Ciera! Overall I think she’s the best player in the 2023 class! Elite inside and outside ability. She has a great pump fake drive to the basket. And she plays the role as a rim protector for her team. The college teams were lined up to see her play including Uconn just to name a few.
Sophia Carlisle 6’3 Bishop O’Connell
An impressive weekend for Sophia she ran the floor extremely well and show great endurance. She had to shoulder the load on the offensive end against high division one talent. Only a junior this was a big-time showing for this high school exposure and Event.
Savana Goodson 6’3 TPLS Christian Academy
Physical fame and light on her feet Savana was the go-to player for the lions when they needed a bucket in the post. Quick drop step moves on the low block no one could guard her physical post moves. She also showed the ability to hit from 13 feet away from the basket. In three games she posted double figures in each game with two double-doubles!
Imani Lester 6’4 North Raleigh Christian
6’4 North Raleigh Christian Academy
A dominant space-eater on the court. She literally controlled the paint on the defensive end with rebounds and block shots. She uses her length on the offensive end with fluent drop steps to the basket. She has a power 5 game and she looks like a power 5 player!
Sa’myah Smith 6’4 De Soto HS
Probably the most athletic big in this whole event. Has elite length and has the ability to face up and get to the basket. She controlled the defensive glass against Sidwell Friends with great track-down blocks from behind. Game is still developing but with her skill set, you can tell she will get take off with college coaching.
Kate Koval 6’4 Long Island Lutheran HS
She is only a sophomore but Kate already has a college body/frame. You can tell she’s still a young player but Kate is a complete technician with skills and fundamentals. Great footwork goes and gets the ball off the glass always keeps the ball high. Her stock will rise with time!
Delaney Snyder 6’4 TPLS Christian Academy
The long sixth man off the bench turned a lot of eyes with her length and her ability to run the floor. She scored 8 points in the fourth quarter to seal the game against Bishop O’Connell. Had a good overall showing with 8 points in each game this weekend off the bench. To help TPLS to 3-0 a weekend against a tough field.
