Jasmine Grant Jasmine Grant 6'0" | PF Summerville | 2022 State SC and Terranique Polite Terranique Polite 5'9" | CG Summerville | 2022 State SC (2022) both form a great 1-2 duo for Summerville Head Coach Calvin Davis. Grant was great all day long with her ability to finish around the cup on a regular basis. Polite is a very skilled player with good versatility to play out on the perimeter. Jasmine runs the floor very well from post position. Can Summerville HS make a run this season? Only time will tell in the Lower State.
Shar’dasia Zeigler Shar’dasia Zeigler 5'5" | CG Orangeburg-Wilkinson | 2022 State SC (2022) – Orangeburg-Wilkinson HS (pictured on front)
Zeigler plays the game with a very competitive edge and grittiness. Shar’dasia has no problems chatting it up at times to her opponents. Zeigler really does a good job of defending on the ball and creating havoc into easy points the other direction. She dropped 18 points according to my unofficial scoring today vs Beaufort HS. Zeigler will stay really close to home next season and attend South Carolina State University.
Deondra Darby Deondra Darby 5'6" | CG Orangeburg-Wilkinson | 2022 State SC (2022) – Orangeburg-Wilkinson HS
Darby came out firing from the perimeter today for the Lady Bruinettes. Deondra is a confident shooter with good shot selection. She gets her feet set every time to receive the pocket pass.
Alexia Parnell-Glover Alexia Parnell-Glover 5'4" | CG Burke | 2022 State SC (2022) – Burke HS (Charleston)
Alexia was the lone bright spot for her Lady Bulldogs team today in a loss to Colleton County HS. Parnell-Glover scoring 27 points mostly coming from around the paint area on layups and transition points. Alexia a left-handed guard was able to get to the foul line at a high clip today. Alexia will have to carry this squad this season with such a young roster for Head Coach Jimmy Brown.
Quinn Wilson Quinn Wilson 5'3" | PG Beaufort | 2023 State SC (2023) – Beaufort HS
Wilson sure left it all out on the floor in a loss to Orangeburg-Wilkinson HS. Wilson scored 17 points in the game. Quinn is a scrappy player with the willingness to take a charge at any time while on the floor. Quinn used the bounce pass and was able to stay vocal with her teammates all game long. Wilson never looked to take a play-off while on the hardwood. Quinn plays soccer for the Eagles as a Goalkeeper.
Kaleyia Brown Kaleyia Brown 5'3" | SG Stratford | 2023 State SC and Yasmine Cook Yasmine Cook 5'8" | SF Stratford | 2023 State SC (2023) – Stratford HS (Goose Creek)
This duo will look to lead the Lady Knights this season. Brown really does have good court vision with her crafty passing from the point guard spot. Yasmine brings good versatility to the floor with her ability to play anywhere in the backcourt. The duo helped beat crosstown rival Goose Creek HS today. According to my unofficial stats Cook scored 16 points while Kaleyia scored 12 points.
