Kiersten Johnson Kiersten Johnson 6'3" | C Duncanville | 2022 State TX -6’3 F/P (Duncanville)
Johnson signed with Oklahoma in November which fits what I’m about to say because not only is Oklahoma OK, so is Johnson’s ability to control games without scoring. Yeah, she can drop the mid to long-range, attack off the dribble as well as show a variety of moves around the basket yet her defense, rebounding and shot-blocking, on the interior as well as taking the ball off the rim and handling it in the open court to “see the floor” will translate over huge at the next level
Jaylyn Wright-5’6 F (Hardin Jefferson)
Wright had me triple check her height was RIGHT so let me drop a #THROWBACK right now for her ability to do what she does against taller opponents. Positioning is key, well that and desire as she battles for everything off the rim as well as loose balls on the floor yet she also does a good job finishing on the inside as well as taking defenders off the dribble but let me also add her defense was solid as well
Daedrianna Cail Daedrianna Cail 6'0" | PF Marion | 2022 State AR -6’0 F (Marion) AR
Cail has UPS by her name so that helps me go back and visualize what I saw and after observing her elevate over players to rebound as well as score yet she also showed she could attack from outside and finish as well as face the basket and drop the jumper, not to leave out she did a good job defending
Aryelle Stevens Aryelle Stevens 6'0" | PF Pearland | 2022 State TX -6’0 F/P (Pearland)
Stevens is one of the most powerful finishers in the Houston area, she has shown that countless times yet she also had a chance to show it at Sandra Meadows. She’s one of those “you won’t outwork me” players as her desire to battle comes natural, she is physical on the defensive end yet she also can drop the midrange
Sydney Ward Sydney Ward 6'0" | SF The Village School | 2022 State TX -5’11 F (The Village School)
Ward will be heading to the University Of The Pacific yet her game specifics always grab my attention because first of all “she’s long and athletic” and watching her things over the years has been a joy. She played the passing lane early, she’s one of the best in Texas at doing it and her long strides and ball-handling usually lead to baskets after the steal yet her first step in the set, as well as her pull-up jumper, makes her hard to handle offensively as she elevates with ease over defenders but her timing to block, alter and or deflect shots just sums it up
Zoe Manning-6’4 P (Captain Shreve) LA
Manning flirted with double-doubles throughout the event, she finished with power, this includes after contact and she did a good job on both ends grabbing boards. She ran the floor, on both ends and did a nice h=job defending yet I see upside that will make her an even better college player
