Bramiya Johnson-5’6 (Jonesboro) AR
Johnson gave me solid minutes when I saw her and solid is an understatement because she attacked the rim strongly to either finish, after contact, or dish yet her court vision was good in the set also. She showed a nice pull-up jumper in the midrange and did a good job defending
Morgan Gaines-5’8 (Fayetville) AR
Gaines understands how to set the defender up to take off the dribble, yeah her first step is part of the reason but she also handles the ball under pressure, and observing her finish with power, after contact, was nice yet she also did a good job on the flip as she went after everything off the rim
Kamille Brown-5’7 (Conway) AR
Brown did her ” I feel good” impression as she really did because her blistering passes in traffic definitely caught my eye on the opening day yet she plays hard, on both ends and handled the ball under pressure while also showing she could score multiple ways however that [pressure was also felt when she played defense
Kiera Neal-6’0 (Marion) AR
Neal is listed at “the magic number” yet her real magic was her consistency flirting with double-doubles. She scored with power on the inside, either from offensive rebounds or attacking off the dribble but she also faced the basket and knocked down shots however her desire to go after the ball stood out a lot
Nevaeh Scott-5’6 (Bartlett) TN
Scott is athletic yet her 12 three pointers at the event sort of gives you a picture, especially since the 3rd place game was slowed down based on the score, I’m that good but catching her on opening day showed me all I needed to paint a picture and the masterpiece is that she creates her shot and knocks it down with a hand in her face
LaNya Foster- (Lovejoy) GA
Foster went after rebounds so many times that I was glued to her game and her athleticism, yeah she went coast to coast after rebounds to finish or dish for assists, so that should tell you how athletic she is. It also showed on defense, she’s long and athletic, played the passing lane but she also scored off the dribble in the set
Caitlin Travis-5’7 (Walker) LA
Travis showed me a lot off the top and watching her consistently hit the midrange, either in the set or in transition showing the “stop and pop” had me smiling but so did her explosive first step which got her to the rim, nice body control helped her finish but she played the passing lane well and saw the floor
