Salese Blow Salese Blow 5'10" | SF Vines | 2023 State TX -5’10 (Plano)
Blow mixes it up so well that she’s hard to contain because of her size, strength, skill set, and athleticism so she can score off the dribble and finish with contact yet she creates her shot and knocks it down, both under pressure and on opening day, that was on full display yet after going through the tournament, she consistently did that
Crislyn Rose Crislyn Rose 5'5" | PG Sasche | 2023 State TX -5’8 (Sasche)
Rose does a good job of finding ways to put the ball in the basket and this is done either by her dropping the midrange, scoring off the dribble and the deep three, aka, the long ball yet there are other ways to score and she sees the floor well, sets teammates up for baskets either in the set or transition
Elizabeth Walton Elizabeth Walton 5'7" | PG The Village | 2023 State TX -5’7 (The Village)
Walton continues to show consistency on both ends as well as hit some highlights and ones yet her body control is only part of her game, she’s under control and knows how to set the defender up to take with either hand as well as finish with either but that pull-up in the set is nice
Khamryn Hopkins-5’7 (Plano West)
Hopkins does something I love to see and that’s “play the passing lane” which has turned into a lost art yet her athleticism helps turn steals into scoring opportunities because she can handle the ball afterward, under control but this also helps in the set as she can take the defender off the dribble
India McMahon-5’9 (Hardin Jefferson)
McMahon is somewhat of a Publisher’s Clearing House spokesperson because she can clear the boards yet everyone is a winner because she does a good job seeing the floor as well as scoring off the dribble, first step is a monster but she’s long and athletic and can drop the mid to long-range
Camden Hartson-5’10 (Mesquite Horn)
Hartson has plenty of “HEART” and as I play on words with part of her last name, she plays on both ends of the court starting with tough “on the ball” defense but her pressure as well as quick hands lead to turnovers, usually steals or forcing offensive players into traps but off the dribble or the pull-up “gets her baskets”
Ty’ Jeonnah Grady-5’5 (Palo Duro)
Grady used her athleticism on both ends well to start the game, that definitely caught my eye because I love watching pressure being applied but she showed she could “man-up” in a hunnid and create some problems, she anticipates well, hands are quick and she attacks the basket well
Natalie Cardenas-5’10 (Bishop Lynch)
Cardenas gave a nice shooting performance, well-scoring performance as she understands how to mix it up and that’s because she can create her shot under pressure to show the midrange, as well as the long-range and both, are effective yet she also did a good job of setting the defender up to score off the dribble
Bailey Davis-5’8 (Midlothian)
Davis opened up the event helping her team pull out a close victory with a barrage of three pointers on her way to 21 points
