2022 Mia Caccitolo, 5’7” Guard, Fenwick
A talented Point Guard who brings a lot to the table at both ends of the court, Caccitolo scored a game-high 17pts in Fenwicks win over Hersey. She is a reliable ball-handler with good composure to run the offense and get her teammates involved while limiting turnovers. Mia shoots the ball very well from beyond the three-point line and doesn’t take plays off on the defensive side with her toughness and effort.
2022 Amanda Behrend-Hansen Amanda Behrend-Hansen 6'2" | PF Fenwick | 2022 State IL , 6’1” Forward, Fenwick
Behrend-Hansen is a mobile Power Forward who brings a ton of energy to her team to make sure the offense is constantly fluid. The Adelphi commit is consistently active in the lane to create openings for her teammates to attack and make plays. Amanda is an outstanding rebounder on both ends of the court and is tough to score against in the post with her strength and shot-blocking abilities.
2022 Zikora Okonkwo, 5’10” Forward, Marian Catholic
A Forward who makes her presence known in the lane with her length and athleticism, Okonkwo is a key role player that not a lot of teams have. She has the quickness to defend on the perimeter where her length causes issues for opposing ball-handlers and often forces them into bad decisions. Zikora is a dominant rebounder on both ends of the floor and one of the premier shot-blockers in the area with her long arms and excellent timing.
2022 Angelina Giordano Angelina Giordano 5'9" | SG Loyola Academy | 2022 State IL , 5’9” Guard, Loyola Academy
Giordano continues to impress with her development as both a ball-handler and scorer, leading a balanced Loyola attack with 18pts. She is playing with great confidence in her ability and rarely tries to force something that isn’t there. Angelina is an excellent team player with her unselfishness and shows great leadership on the court with her younger teammates.
2022 Claire Hyde Claire Hyde 5'6" | CG Wheaton North | 2022 State IL , 5’4” Guard, Wheaton North
One of the top scoring Point Guards in the area, it’s tough to think of a better outside shooter at the PG position than Hyde, who led the way with 17pts. She is a strong and tough player who plays with extreme confidence no matter the opponent or situation. Claire is a scrappy on-ball defender who can match physicality and speed to stop opposing ball-handlers from attacking the basket.
2022 Tatiana Thomas Tatiana Thomas 5'11" | PF Bolingbrook | 2022 State IL , 5’11” Forward, Bolingbrook
Thomas is a talented Small Forward who impacts the game with her physicality and length at both ends of the floor. The Kent State commit creates matchup issues against opponents and did so on Monday, scoring 10pts in Bolingbrook’s impressive win over Joliet West. Tatiana showed a smooth jumper in the mid-range and strong finishes around the basket, and played outstanding defense on the perimeter and in the lane against taller post players.
2022 Camille Jackson Camille Jackson 5'11" | PG Butler College Prep | 2022 State #48 Nation IL , 5’11” Guard, Butler College Prep
Jackson is a strong and physical Point Guard who made eye-opening plays off the dribble against a solid defensive team in Naperville North. The Illinois commit collected 21pts with a few made baskets from beyond the three-point line and crafty finishes around the rim. Camille doesn’t put up the consistent point totals as other top players in the state, but her strength with the ball and ability to create for herself and others should translate well to the next level.
2022 Kenzie Hare Kenzie Hare 5'9" | CG Naperville North | 2022 State IL , 5’10” Guard, Naperville North
There have got to be dozens of college coaches out there regretting not offering Hare after seeing her erupt for 31pts in just over three quarters of play Monday night. The Saint Louis commit had the crowd on their feet several times with her hot shooting from deep and electric finishes around the basket. Kenzie continues to add more skills to her game and deserves to be in the Illinois Ms. Basketball discussion as her Senior year plays out.
2022 Sophie Sullivan Sophie Sullivan 5'7" | PG Willowbrook | 2022 State IL , 5’8” Guard, Willowbrook
Sullivan is a well-rounded and talented Point Guard who continues to run the show with her playmaking and leadership abilities in her fourth year as a Varsity starter. The SIUE commit scored a team-high 11pts against Libertyville, knocking down shots from beyond the three-point line and scoring in the lane among taller defenders. Sophie is a steady presence at both ends of the floor who gives tremendous effort on the defensive end against opposing ball-handlers.
