Continue ReadingWith the Louisville Invitational Tournament starting next week I thought this would be a good time to provide a preview of the players and teams you will see. And I thought this would be a good time to write about a few of the teams I have seen at the Queen of the Commonwealth Tournament (and elsewhere) but have been unable to find the time to write about because many of those teams will also be playing in the LIT.
The LIT is a 20 team seeded tournament with 16 teams from the 6th and 7th Regions (ostensibly Louisville) and 4 teams from other KHSAA Regions of the Commonwealth. The top 4 Louisville seeds and the 4 State Seeds each receive a 1st Round Bye and will play all of their games at Valley High School in southwestern Jefferson County. Next Tuesday Anderson County (State 3) and Bowling Green (State 2) will play, followed on Wednesday by Franklin County (State 4) and Notre Dame (State 1).
Below are some of the top prospects you will see.

Jacie Chesser – ’22 6’1″/C – Anderson County
Chesser is not ranked on our site which is a glaring oversight on our part. She is a master of using the pivot foot to facilitate her extremely impressive scoring package in the post. She is scoring 12.6 points on 55.3% field goal shooting (40th in KHSAA), grabbing 5.7 rebounds, and making 3.8 free throws per game (83.6% 10th in the state).
