2022, 6’2, SF, Ontario Christian, Shayla Gilmer – Athletic specimen of a player we watched this weekend, she has a body that most college girls do not possess and she is still developing into a player for the next level. I watched with a coach and her remarks were, we do not have a girl her size on our team now, I just laughed, she is built like a truck and is tough as nails on the floor as well. She can get to the rim and finish thru traffic, she can handle the ball and bring it up the floor for her team, she is capable of knocking down the three pointer, but needs some more work there.
2023, 6’2, PF, St. Marys of Stockton, Jamaya Perry – Jamaya is another girls with a college ready body right now, she is agile and can run the floor with ease and can get to spots to catch and finish. She is a truck as well, she will run right thru you and seal you for the basket under the rim with ease. She can score it from midrange and swing thru from the freethrow line and take you to the cup. She is an aggressive defender and she loves to block shot of suspecting guards trying to get layup while she is in the paint.
2023, 6’2, SF, San Joaquin Memorial HS, Meadow Roland – Meadow is athletic, long and wiry forward type that can run and jump like a champion. She is skilled in the paint, she is skilled at the midrange and she is now becoming very good at stepping out and knocking down the three pointer. She can push the break, she can make passes for scores and she is a very good shot blocker, she will chase you down for the spectacular block off the glass. She is a player and I personally told some coaches, she is one to watch, she is a PLAYER….
