Sophomore Snipers

The season is nearing the midway point and I'm breaking down some of the top performers in the state so far this season. Here's a look at the top shooters in the 2024 class. [player_tooltip player_id="167106" first="Trinity" last="Rowe"], Pikeville - Trinity is known for her proficiency as a ball handler and her ability to run an offense but this season she has shown that she's also an elite shooter. Rowe is still the state's best Sophomore point guard but she's an even tougher player to guard when she's shooting nearly 50% from three like she is this year. [player_tooltip player_id="164394" first="Clara" last="Collins"], South Laurel - A big wing with a ton of potential, Clara has had some injury shortened seasons but is making up for lost time so far this year. Collins is a tough matchup for any opposing team because she can score inside and out but so far this season she's making 45% of her shots from deep and becoming even more of an issues for defenses to stop. [player_tooltip player_id="228185" first="Anna" last="Hamilton"], Conner - One of the best 2024s in northern Kentucky, Hamilton plays both on and off the ball but has been most effective as a catch and shoot player on the wing. Anna is averaging over 17 points per game this season and is also effective at getting to the free throw line where she's been making almost 85% of her attempts so far this year. [player_tooltip player_id="373300" first="Emilee" last="Hallum"], Madisonville-North Hopkins - Emilee has taken 95 threes this season versus only 22 two point tries. She's making nearly 40% of her threes and has been thriving as a catch and shoot threat on the wing. [player_tooltip player_id="329458" first="Gracie" last="Brown"], DuPont Manual - If you're looking for a pure shooter, Gracie is the closest thing to that on this list. She's shooting just under 50% from three and has been the reliable shooter that Manual needs since so much of their offense is based off the drive and kick of Jakayla Thompsn.
