Just like the NCAA College Football Championship Game the Maret vs Pallotti game was a close and competitive game, until it wasn’t. Maret only had eight players in uniform but their experience proved to be too much for a young Pallotti team as the walked away with a 65-46 road victory.
Mary Amoateng Mary Amoateng 5'8" | PG Bishop McNamara | 2025 State MD -5’6″ – Guard – 2025
Mary made some dynamic plays through traffic dropping 12 points and a couple of three’s. She was able to create contact and get to the line repeatedly. She was only 1 for 6 from the free throw line which should improve as she has really good mechanics with her shot.
Page Greenburg Page Greenburg 5'8" | CG Maret | 2022 State MD – 5’8″ – Guard – Maret – 2022
Page has been one of my favorites over the years because of her accurate shooting and range. She didn’t disappoint here showing off her quick release and perfect form. She is virtually automatic when open and typically doesn’t allow time for closeouts. She scored 12 points while adding 5 boards and 3 assists in the win.
Gabrielle Clary – 5’8″ – Wing – Pallotti – 2024
Clary had some nice drives to the basket and was able to finish well. She picked up momentum later in the game as she scored eight of her 12 points after the break.
London Liley – 5’10″ – Forward – Maret – 2025
London scored 10 points with 6 rebounds to finish the game. Most of her shots showed a high degree of difficulty as she weaved through traffic and challenged defenders. She is a freshman that is playing like a seasoned upperclassmen right now.
Jayla Towles – 5’7″ – Wing – Pallotti – 2023
It was obvious early the Jayla was a shooter as she scored the games first five points which included a very deep three pointer. Obvious to everyone except the Frogs defense as the repeatedly left her open to drop 15 points and almost helped mount a comeback run.
Maryan Eniafe – 6’1″ – Center – Maret – 2024
Maryan was strong inside and had some good looks at the basket that just didn’t fall for her but still she got to double figures with 10 points. Her presence in the paint altering shots and crashing the boards was more valuable to the frogs than her scoring as Pallotti had no one to match her size inside.
Zaiha Minnis Zaiha Minnis 5'10" | SF Maret | 2022 State MD – 5’9″ – Wing – Maret – 2023
Zaiha was approaching triple double numbers with 11 points, 7 boards and 6 assists. She had a pretty all around game and even knocked down a three. She had quite a few open looks that rimmed out but she is definitely on track for a huge breakout game soon.
