The Tampa Bay Christmas Invitational established in 2016 presented by Florida’s Sports Coast hosted one of the largest high school events in Florida last week in Wesley Chapel at the Wiregrass Sports Complex. The event hosted over 100 Varsity Girls and Boys teams from December 29-January 1 from all across the country including a number of the Florida’s top teams. We take a look at some of the class of 2025s top performers.
Sofia Munoz Sofia Munoz 5'7" | CG Central Pointe Christian | 2025 State FL (Central Pointe Academy) – 5’3 Guard
Got a chance to see Munoz for the second time in two weeks and once again left impressed with her play. Although new to the game, Munoz is a quick study and was an impact player from the guard spot throughout the weekend against some top-level talent. Munoz is a young player, new the game of basketball, switching over from soccer and although you can tell she is still learning and her skill set is underdeveloped, she has a high activity level and plays with a ton of energy! Her activity and energy, along with her aggressiveness, make her an impact defender, who does a great job on the ball and off the ball. She is a live body who energy and work ethic stood out in a game full of college level prospects and she plays hard every single possession she is in the game.
Abby Knauf (Bolles HS) – 5’8 Guard / Wing
This was my first chance to see Knauf. Knauf combination of size and skill immediately caused me to watch her play more and dive deeper into evaluating her. She is mature for her age, going head-to-head with players 2-3 years older than her. Her mature skill set, good shot selection, and poise on the court all stood out at the event and makes Knauf a player to watch further and a potential stock riser in the next rankings.
Pink Sturdivant Pink Sturdivant 5'8" | CG Clearwater HS | 2025 State FL (Clearwater HS) – 5’10 Guard
Sturdivant is one of our highest ranked players in the class of 2025 rankings, and throughout the weekend, she showed spurts of why she is ranked so highly. She is a young, skilled guard with a strong build. She has a smooth game and plays with a ton of confidence. Her build and skillset make her an effective offensive player who can score in a variety of ways. If she improves her consistency and conditioning, she will continue to move up the rankings and be a stock riser!
Riley Stoker Riley Stoker 6'0" | PG Somerset Prep North Lauderdale | 2025 State FL (Western HS) – 6’0 Wing / Forward
This was my first time getting to see Stoker. She is a long, athletic, and versatile player who can play on the perimeter as well as in the paint. Her body is very intriguing to potential suitors at the collegiate level as her length really stood out on the court for such a young player. Not just an athlete, Stoker showcased her ability to knock it down from 3 several times with a defender in her face. With Stoker being a new face, look for her to break into the player rankings in the next update.
Ari Woodard (Lake Highland Prep) – 5’8 Guard
Woodard is ranked number one in our class of 2025 rankings and has major potential. She comes of the bench for a loaded Lake Highland Prep squad that played in the top bracket at the Tampa Bay Invitational. Woodard made use of her spot minutes and was effective in her time on the court. She came into the game and immediately matched up against opposing teams point guards. She is an active and high-energy on ball defender that applies a ton of ball pressure. She gives consistent effort every possession she is in the game and is a high level athlete who can also attack the rim off the bounce.
Nyla McFadden Nyla McFadden 5'11" | SF St. Thomas Aquinas | 2025 State FL (St. Thomas Aquinas) – 5’11 Wing
McFadden is another highly ranked Freshman in the class of 2025 rankings who also comes off the bench for a talented squad. St. Thomas Aquinas finished 2-1 in the event, placing runner-up in their bracket and McFadden was solid all throughout the event. Her length, athleticism and body stood out for a freshman. She uses her athleticism and length on both the offensive and defensive ends of the floor and has big time potential as her skill set catches up with build.
