The Tampa Bay Christmas Invitational established in 2016 presented by Florida’s Sports Coast hosted one of the largest high school events in Florida last week in Wesley Chapel at the Wiregrass Sports Complex. The event hosted over 100 Varsity Girls and Boys teams from December 29-January 1 from all across the country including a number of the Florida’s top teams. We take a look at part two of some of the class of 2024s top performers.
Lexi Blue Lexi Blue 6'1" | SF Lake Highland Prep | 2024 State FL (Lake Highland Prep) – 6’1 Wing
Blue is looooooong and one of the most intriguing prospects in the state regardless of class because of her body and potential upside! She is legit 6’1 and might have a 6’4-6’5 wingspan. She is most effective on the defensive end of the floor, utilizing her height, length, wingspan and athleticism.
Keylee Allen (Western HS) – 5’9 Wing
Allen was a consistent presence on the inside for Western in a triple OT thriller that they pulled out 88-84 over Clearwater HS. On a team loaded with guard and perimeter players, Allen crashed the offensive glass consistently and finished well in the paint. She played strong and physical on both the offensive and defensive ends and played bigger than her size.
Kamryn Corporan Kamryn Corporan 5'3" | PG St. Thomas Aquinas | 2024 State FL (St. Thomas Aquinas) – 5’4 Point Guard
Corporan is a transfer from Monsignor Pace, where she led the team in scoring last year as a Freshman. Corporan is a slender built, scoring point guard who has a scorer’s mentality and does a great job at creating her own shot off the dribble. She is a role player on the talented STA bench, coming off the bench to play backup point guard duties as a ball handler that can handle pressure and scoring punch.
Tamara Elliott Tamara Elliott 5'6" | PG Western | 2024 State FL (Western HS) – 5’6 Guard
Elliott was Western’s point guard and primary ballhandler. She plays hard, aggressive, and can be a spit fire on both ends of the court, playing with a lot of passion and emotion. She can get from one end of the floor to another with the ball in her hands in a flash and is fearless attacking the rim both in the half court and in transition.
Jadah Toombs Jadah Toombs 5'7" | PG Fort Myers | 2024 State FL 2024 (Fort Myers) – 5’6 Guard
Toombs is an athletic guard with an explosive first step. She is consistently the most athletic player on the court and plays extremely hard on both ends of the floor. She handles the ball well in transition and can beat defenders off dribble using a number of combo moves. Throughout the event, she displayed an ability to finish at the rim in traffic and vs contact.
Eris Lester Eris Lester 5'10" | SF Montverde Academy | 2024 State FL (Orange Park) – 5’9 Guard / Wing
Lester is young, athlete, versatile and has big time potential! She has the ability to beat defenders off the dribble, good touch on mid-range jump shot, and is capable of knocking down the open 3 ball. She utilizes her length on the defensive end, as she is a good on ball defender and gets in passing lanes consistently. Her overall frame has room to fill out, and makes her have an extremely high ceiling and a ton of potential!
