Here is a look at some players that were mentioned:
Kyndal Farver Kyndal Farver 5'4" | PG Hamtramck | 2022 State MI (2022, PG, Hamtramck)
Farver definitely has the ability to play the game at the next level. She’s a quick and speedy guard that can really put a lot of pressure on the opposing defense. Farver handles the ball well and rebounds extremely well for her height. She just seems to have a nose for the ball off the rim.
Nyemah Hodo Nyemah Hodo 5'11" | C Ecorse | 2023 State MI (2023, C, Ecorse)
Hodo is, in my opinion, one of the top defenders in the class of 2023. She uses her length effectively to block and alter shots. Hodo understand verticality on defense and she’s a game changer because of it.
Samyiah Jefferson Samyiah Jefferson 5'1" Detroit Mumford | 2023 MI (2023, PG, Detroit Mumford)
Jefferson has some superstar talent and potential and is showing it this season at Mumford. She has a nice first step when attacking with her right hand and can play and finish through contact. Jefferson is a physically strong playmaker.
Cierra Hughes Cierra Hughes 5'0" | PG Romulus | 2023 State MI (2023, PG, Romulus)
Hughes has been getting it done on both ends of the floor. It’s not a shock to see her reach double figures in steals in a game. Hughes also has the ability to find teammates on the move and deliver the ball where it needs to go.
Karma Jones-Johnson (2024, CG, Romulus)
Jones-Johnson is leaving her mark this season. She’s developing into a nice scorer and has shown a ton of upside in her game. Jones-Johnson can play effectively at any pace.
Aniysia Lewis Aniysia Lewis 5'9" | SG Hamtramck | 2022 State MI (2024, SG, Hamtramck)
Lewis is a true team first type of player, but her individual skills have certainly stood out this season. She shows up to play every night and it pays off with consistency in performance and her in game numbers. Lewis is a player that college coaches will want to keep an eye on.
Savannah Miller (2023, SG, Kent City)
It doersn’t surprise me in the slightest to see another shooter show up in Kent City. Miller definitely deserves some publicity for the way that she’s been connecting from behind the arc this season. She has 16 triples on the season.
Zaneira Morrissette Zaneira Morrissette SF Romulus | 2022 State MI (2022, SF, Romulus)
Morrissette has really made a statement about being a next level talent this season. She see’s the floor and can pass from anywhere on the court. Morrissette is extremely active on the block and has a nice soft touch with the ball around the rim.
Trinity O’Connell (2025, SG, Fort Myers High School)
O’Connell is a terrific perimeter defender. She can keep some elite talent at bay, and already has this season. She’s a high IQ player and consistent scorer on offense,
Sa’Ryah Roberts (2024, PG, Romulus)
Roberts is lightning quick on the basketball court and she uses it on both ends of the floor. She can beat the defense down the floor in transition and will chase down offensive players and pressure them into a turnover. Roberts also has 3 point range on a catch and shoot jumper.
Arlonna Twitty Arlonna Twitty SF Dearborn ATA | 2022 State MI (2022, SF, Dearborn ATA)
Twitty has proven herself as an accomplished scorer throughout her high school career. In fact, she recently crossed the 1000 points scored mark. Twitty is a shifty and athletic scorer that can get buckets at multiple levels.
