The Class of 2024 has a really nice mix of perimeter players, and currently our Top-150 is home to 28 point guard prospects who make up 18.7% of all 2024 prospects ranked in Indiana. It is their job to take care of the ball and initiate the offense, but this class specifically has several talented shooters, and a number of young ladies who can put the ball in the basket from just about anywhere. Below is a look at those 28 prospects, as well as some added information and analysis on a handful of girls who have stood out since our last rankings update in September.
Newcomers
Nylaia Carter, 2024, 5-6 PG, New Albany H.S.
– Nylaia is new to Indiana by way of Louisville, Kentucky. I have yet to see her live, but she is a skillful, fairly strong, and hard-working kid who plays with energy. Once she gains her eligibility, she’ll be a big addition the next two years to a New Albany program who is leaning heavily on a pair of 2022 guards right now.
Lauren Walsh

, 2024, 5-7 CG, Penn H.S.
– Lauren is another Hoosier newcomer, moving in from Durham, North Carolina. She has seen immediate minutes for an always strong and deep Kingsmen squad at Penn, averaging 6.2 points, 2.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 2.4 steals per game this season. She has some size and length, and she’ll be a good one for them moving forward.

Lake Central | 2024

, 2024, 5-7 PG, Lake Central H.S.
– A lot of Riley’s improvements in terms of recruiting don’t have as much to do with her skill or ability, as the fact that she has simply grown two to three inches in the last 12-18 months, she’s noticeably stronger, and she’s playing with more physicality at both ends of the floor. She has always had a nice confidence to her game, she’s a good deep-shooter, and she can handle it and create for others.
Sophia Morrison

Eastbrook | 2024
State
IN
, 2024, 5-5 CG, Eastbrook H.S.
– Sophia is one of the better under-the-radar kids in the state right now, but despite her 2A high school environment, she is a “4A talent”. She is strong, compact, and physical. She plays low to the ground, has a quick and tight handle, and can create separation off the bounce, but it’s her knockdown shooting ability that helps her stand out. You can’t give her any space, or she will tear you apart from deep.
Adrianne Tolen

West Lafayette | 2024
State
IN
, 2024, 5-9 CG, West Lafayette H.S.
– Adrianne doesn’t have a lot of popularity on a statewide level, because she hasn’t been a big grassroots participant. However, she can play, and rumor has it she’ll be on the circuit this Spring and Summer. She has good size, an athletic frame with some length, and she does a little of everything well. She can shoot/score the ball at all three levels, she’s a nice facilitator, and she’s a versatile defender.
Keep an eye on…
Avery Kelley

5'6" | PG
Evansville Memorial | 2024
State
IN
, 2024, 5-6 PG, Evansville Memorial H.S.
– Avery saw quality Varsity minutes as a Freshman, but following the graduation losses of eight 2021 girls she has been thrust not only into a starting spot, but also a leadership position. She has responded so far this year, averaging 10.0 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 2.1 steals per game for the 12-3 Tigers. She is a tough-nosed, feisty point guard who can manage a team or knock down open shots.
Faith Leedy

Zionsville | 2024
State
IN
, 2024, 5-4 PG, Zionsville Community H.S.
– Faith had a roller-coaster 2021 grassroots season, mostly dealing with an injury. Now that she’s back and healthy, she’s been an important rotation player for a good, young Zionsville nucleus. She is strong, tough-nosed, and does a nice job taking care of the basketball. She can make shots around the perimeter or attack the basket North/South. She’ll also give a lot of energy at the defensive end of the floor.
Madelyn Poe

Columbus East | 2024
State
IN
, 2024, 5-5 PG, Hauser H.S.
– Madelyn saw a handful of Varsity minutes a year ago as a Freshman at Center Grove, but she is thriving at her new school, averaging 18.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game. She is a tough, physical point guard who plays with nice pace. She can handle the ball and run offense when needed, but she’s also an accurate outside shooter, a strong North/South attacker, and quite a competitor.
