Darrionna Howard Darrionna Howard 6'1" | PF Clayton | 2023 State NC | Clayton
Howard is built like a great athlete ready to dominate on both ends of the court every time she gets the chance to play. She can handle the ball driving hard to the basket scoring points, or she can step back for a jump shot making it over her defenders. Her height is a problem on defense, too, knowing exactly where to move to clog the paint or grab a steal. She’s an effective rebounder, and she can definitely get points off of offensive boards.
Kirsten Lewis-Williams Kirsten Lewis-Williams 5'10" | CG Lake Norman | 2023 State NC | Lake Norman
Lewis-Williams (pictured above) has been doing everything for her team this year helping to lead them to a regular season conference championship. She is consistently a stat leader in points, rebounds, assists, or steals, and she can even lead the team in multiple categories in one game. She is a dynamic scorer knowing how to get to the basket finding the open lane, and she has a nice shot from all over the court that she can put up quickly leaving no time for a defense to recover. Her IQ is already high knowing exactly how to read a defense and make the right play.
Laney Scoggins Laney Scoggins 6'0" | SF Hoggard | 2023 State NC | North Brunswick
Scoggins consistently shows off her finish at the rim using various moves and her arm length to get the ball through the hoop. She can use some post moves, too, like power dribbles to manipulate her defender and open up the shot. She definitely knows how to grab rebounds and take them the other direction on a fast break where she can score at the basket or pull up for a jump shot. On defense, she times her moves perfectly grabbing the steal or blocking shots.
