We have watched most of these kids and we have put down what we saw from them and how they played while we watched them on the circuit or during their high school seasons. Hope you enjoy.
Leah Martinez Leah Martinez 5'5" | PG Cardinal Newman | 2024 State CA | PG | Cardinal Newman
A smart and tuff combo guard with a nose for the ball defensively. Has a great feel for defensive positioning and anticipates at a high level. A very strong catch and shoot player from midrange or beyond the arc. A very solid overall guard who handles pressure and has a great feel for the game.
Me’Arah O’Neal Me’Arah O’Neal 6'3" | C Crossroads | 2024 State CA | C | Crossroads
O’Neal is a very versatile player with high upside. One of the things that stands out to me the most is her defensive ability. She uses her length and size to contest shots in the paint and act as a defensive anchor. She’s already 6’3 as a freshman. She can handle the ball and does well against defensive pressure. She’ll be going up against bigger players than in middle school and should be able to use her quickness to counter their size.
Janelle Pena Janelle Pena 5'9" | PF Cardinal Newman | 2024 State CA | PF | Cardinal Newman
Solid post defender with real instincts for help side positioning as well as a high level communicator on the floor. Offensively she is a solid finisher around the rim and has the ability to catch and shoot from midrange or from 3pt range. Janelle is a solid screener and strong rebounder, the kind of post player that anchors you team on both sides of the ball.
Harper Peterson Harper Peterson 6'3" | C Whitney | 2024 State CA | C | Whitney
Peterson is a young player that has some high upside. She can be a scoring wing and she makes good decisions with the ball in her hands. Confident player who is patient and doesn’t force the issue. Good shooter from three-point range who can move well without the ball and get herself open. Solid player in transition who gets out and can finish strong at the rim. Good length defensively.
Dejah Saldivar Dejah Saldivar 5'6" | SG Ontario Christian | 2024 State CA | SG | Ontario Christian
Dejah proved she was a great shooter by playing and taking shots on the floor for her high school team, she even came to one of my camps a few years back as a youngin and proved it. She uses her body well and can create shots off the bounce or by taking it to the rim. She shot the ball as you can see below at 51% from the three point line, that is crazy, she is a walking bucket for her coach. Great get in her freshman year.
Madi Shibata Madi Shibata 5'6" | PG Rolling Hills Prep | 2024 State CA | PG | Rolling Hills Prepz
Little guard that handles the ball well for her team as the point guard, she can make a midrange shot on the pull up and she is a capable handler in heavy traffic. She is solid as they come as the point guard and runs the offense to perfection to execute their plays. She does the right thing on every possession, she is solid at the point guard position in our opinion.
Jada Taylor Jada Taylor 5'1" | PG Etiwanda | 2024 State CA | PG | Etiwanda
small quick guard that can finish in transition with both hands. She is a lethal shooter from three land and is a aggressive guard on both ends of the floor. She is one of the toughest girls on the floor, but one of the smallest.
Brooklyn Taylor Brooklyn Taylor 6'0" | PF Long Beach Poly | 2024 State CA | PF | Serra Gardena
Taylor is a player I’ve seen a couple of times now in the past few months and she really stood out this weekend on the defensive end. She’s a long forward who is capable of playing some center; but she did a good job keeping up with wings on the perimeter and staying low the ground. She also did a good job protecting the paint and blocking shots. Offensively, she looked much better than when I last saw her in terms of finishing at the rim. She’s really developing some low post moves.
