Continue ReadingI dropped what I considered the Top 20 players I had seen, in person, not via LIVESTREAM and certainly not off of someone else recommendation because after being out here over a SCORE, I want to see for myself if a player can actually score or stop someone who is trying to score, basic basketball coupled with logic yet this is an illogical setting and the more I hear “you need to come to see this player or that player” I just shake my head in disbelief because common sense will have you place that player in front of me, that’s why I have my EVENTS listed that I’ll be covering and all of my contact information is on my website so here are the 10 players I added and why
#13 Camille Williams
Williams blew me away a year ago yet I left her off the initial 20 for not having roster information, I’ll blame it on that yet I said this at Sandra Meadows Classic “Off the dribble, that first step is powerful, so are her finishes yet she can stretch the defense and make them guard her from the outside because she can drop the jumper” yet with her size and skill set, she will create some problems because of her upside, she has D1 offers on the table yet the table hasn’t even been set
#15 Andrea Sturdivant Andrea Sturdivant 5'6" | SG Fort Bend Austin | 2025 State TX
Sturdivant was in the 4th grade COMPETING against high school players when I dropped the #D1Lock on her, I ain’t been wrong yet and I definitely won’t be wrong about her as she’s entered high school with a vengeance, averaging 20 PPG and multiple games where she has dropped 5 or more from BTA. Her first step is devastating, she is a nightmare to defend in the open court because of her speed and ballhandling yet she also defends well
#16 Bree Riley Bree Riley 5'6" | PG Grand Oaks | 2025 State TX
Riley adds “The Life Of” because she has come in as a freshman and made the transition quickly and smoothly but alas, she can score off the dribble as well as drop the mid to long-range but what I’m loving even more is her ability to control the tempo and get here teammates involved which equates to “making those around her better”
#18 Margan Allen Margan Allen 5'7" | SG Legacy SSS | 2025 State TX
Allen has thrown a wrench into everything, hopefully, you caught that and you better be ready to catch her blazing no looks which actually hurt my neck as I turned too quickly, fortunately, she did another one to get me right, and speaking of right she attacks strongly from both the left and the right and is one of the top midrange shooters in her class
#20 Jerriyah Baines Jerriyah Baines 5'10" | SF Killeen | 2025 State TX
Baines doesn’t realize she’s a freshman, well she didn’t realize she wasn’t a high school standout in the 8th grade when I first caught her so she made the transition with ease yet her upside, she’s long and athletic, nice first step and body control enables her to finish after contact but she also does what I love to see, play the passing lane as well as rebound
#21 Taylor Barnes Taylor Barnes 6'1" | SF South Grand Prairie | 2025 State TX
Barnes should have been on the initial watchlist, I mentioned I didn’t realize her club team was from Texas yet with her size and ability to create her shot under pressure and knock it down is going to have her on many college coaches shortlist because the midrange is a lost art and college coaches love big guards that can shoot but she also can score multiple ways
#26 Chandler Caver Chandler Caver 5'9" | CG Hightower | 2025 State TX
Caver made me stop calling her “The Baby” no, not physically but her poise under pressure playing with and against the big girls. She was in the 7th grade and I thought she was a freshman, that should tell you something and f doesn’t let me you tell this, her upside is scary, she plays within herself yet can score in droves at the blink of an eye
#27 Savannah Salinas Savannah Salinas 5'11" | SG Boerne | 2025 State TX
Salinas is a heady guard and she’s just under “the magic number” that’s 6’0 for those who don’t follow me or worse, don’t pay attention but also she can play the big guard as well as the small forward effectively, she rebounds and defends and her understanding how to get hers “in the flow” is huge, so is her upside and she showed me a lot more at ALL EYEZ ON ME (Individual Showcase)
#28 Chloe Donnell Chloe Donnell 5'7" | PG Boerne | 2025 State TX
Donnell impressed me at the Queens Of The Hardwood with her SAHE-Red squad so I asked if the team was named red because of the color of her hair, she smiled and said yes yet she also smiled while dropping numerous jumpers with a hand in her face, mid to long-range but she also can score off the dribble and has good court vision
#30 Makiyah Rigsby Makiyah Rigsby 5'7" | SG Desoto | 2025 State TX
Rigsby lit it up at the Duel States and rereading what I wrote from one of my dear friend’s last events teared me up yet plenty of players got on my RADAR because of Cynthia Guillory and her showcases and Rigsby is one of them because she’s a THROWBACK player that understands how to get things done, read more
