The first game of the day went down to the wire and First Baptist prevailed over Hammond 69-66. The Hurricanes were led in scoring by post player Tiana Spann Tiana Spann 6'2" | PF First Baptist | 2022 State SC with 24 points. Spann was able to finish all night long with her lefthand or nailing down foul shots. Prep Girls Hoops had Tiana with 14 rebounds in the contest. Tiana will play her college ball at Winthrop University next year.
Yannah Seaberry Yannah Seaberry 5'6" | CG First Baptist | 2024 State SC just a sophomore finished with 16 points for the Hurricanes. North Greenville University signee Mia Wysong Mia Wysong 5'4" | PG First Baptist | 2022 State SC added 12 points and Alexia Grant Alexia Grant 5'11" | CG First Baptist | 2022 State SC chipped in with 10 points. Grant will play her college ball at Appalachian State University next year.
Tyra Myers Tyra Myers 5'6" | PG Hammond | 2022 State SC playing her last game for the Lady Skyhawks finished with 27 points. Myers a St Francis College – Brooklyn signee finished her career with 2,031 career points. Tyra is an extremely efficient shooter and ball-handler on the floor. Sophomore Anna Katherine Adams Anna Katherine Adams 5'5" | PG Hammond | 2024 State SC added 14 points while Samira Khalil Samira Khalil 5'8" | CG Hammond | 2024 State SC chipped in with 13 points.
The Trinity Collegiate Lady Titans cruised to an 82-46 victory over Porter Gaud. The Lady Titans move to (25-4) on the season. Sophomore Kiyomi McMiller Kiyomi McMiller 5'8" | PG Life Center Academy | 2024 State NJ had 25 points at the halftime break and finished with 35 points in the win. Jaida Cameron Jaida Cameron 5'7" | PG Legacy Early College | 2024 State SC a left-handed guard added 13 points, Azaria Knox mustered 12 points while freshman Tatiana Williamson Tatiana Williamson 5'8" | SF Trinity Collegiate | 2025 State SC added 11 points.
The Lady Cyclones were led in scoring by Asa Snyder Asa Snyder 5'7" | SG Porter Gaud | 2023 State SC 23 points. Snyder was able to finish on a few three pointers and bring some craftiness to the floor at times for the Lady Cyclones. Porter Gaud finishes the year at (12-11).
The Cardinal Newman Cardinals were playing with just 6 players yesterday for Head Coach Asia Dozier. The Cardinals move to (13-5) on the year with a win over Hilton Head Prep 54-33. University of South Carolina Lady Gamecock signee Ashlyn Watkins Ashlyn Watkins 6'4" | PF Cardinal Newman | 2022 State #11 Nation SC was way too much for the Lady Dolphins to handle. Watkins finished with 19 points, 15 rebounds and 11 blocks in the win. Freshman guard Lauren Jacobs Lauren Jacobs 5'9" | PG Heathwood Hall | 2025 State SC added 16 points while Sabreya Monsanto Sabreya Monsanto 5'11" | SF Heathwood Hall | 2025 State SC chipped in with 8 points.
The Lady Dolphins finished the season at (18-9) under Head Coach Phillip Hartman. Senior Katie Campbell Katie Campbell 5'6" | CG Hilton Head Prep | 2022 State SC led the way with 10 points while her sister freshman Courtney Campbell Courtney Campbell 5'8" | PG Hilton Head Prep | 2025 State SC added 9 points.
In the night cap the Northwood Academy Lady Chargers got by a scrappy Augusta Christian (Martinez, GA) team 55-46. The Lady Chargers (22-3) and are winners of 14 straight games now. Sophomore Alayah Birch Alayah Birch 5'9" | CG Northwood Academy | 2024 State SC led the way with 24 points while unsigned senior Aubrielle Harris Aubrielle Harris 6'0" | C Northwood Academy | 2022 State SC added 19 points. Senior guard Rachel Ambroise Rachel Ambroise 5'7" | SG Northwood Academy | 2022 State SC added 9 points.
The Lady Lions finished the season at (16-10). Iyana Beard led the way with 14 points before fouling out with 3:40 left in the game. Freshman guard Rania Curry Rania Curry 5'11" | SG Butler | 2025 State GA added 13 points while Flagler College (FL) (NCAA D2) signee Jessica Dowdy Jessica Dowdy 5'8" | CG Augusta Christian | 2022 State GA finished her career with 12 points. Dowdy fouled out with 1:02 left in the game when the Lady Lions were down 49-44.
The Table is set for the Semifinals on Friday February 25 at the Sumter County Civic Center
3:30 P.M. – First Baptist vs Trinity Collegiate
6:30 P.M. – Northwood Academy vs Cardinal Newman
** Trinity Collegiate lost to First Baptist 52-49 back on January 31, 2022.
** Northwood Academy and Cardinal Newman have played each other in the past 3 straight State championship games. Cardinal Newman has won all 3 games.
