In this article:
Here is the updated list of girls we added to the list and their evaluations, hope you enjoy the words about them, it our opinion on how we liked their games on the floor.
Samari Bankhead Samari Bankhead 5'9" | SF Windward | 2025 State CA | SF | Windward
has a versatile skill-set for her size. She’s a natural forward with some guard like abilities. She’s very comfortable handling the ball and attacking the rim. Finishes strong at the rim. She can handle the ball well on the break. Early in the game I saw, she wasn’t making the best reads with the ball in her hands, but as the game went on she started making better passes and decisions off the dribble. She sets good, hard screens. Has tools to be a good defender.
Layla Harris Layla Harris 6'3" | C Etiwanda | 2025 State CA | C | Etiwanda
big post player that can run the floor catch in the paint and score. Has a good back to the basket game and has a nice big frame to keep the defense at bay. She could run and catch for layups or throw back out of the double- team to teammates for scores.
Jane Hewitt Jane Hewitt 5'8" | CG Crean Lutheran | 2025 State CA | CG | Crean Lutheran
Shooter of the bunch, she is very good from the three point line and showed it by knocking down three long threes in this game and did it with composure. She had 9 points in the first half going 3 for 3 from behind the line. She is good guard in on the floor and is comfortable with handling the ball in the open floor.
Riley Martin Riley Martin 5'9" | CG Venice | 2025 FL | CG | Bakersfield
Another lefty wing with a lot of heart, shoots the ball well out to the free throw line, working on the three-ball and is a developing point guard with a lot of upside.
Aliyahna Morris Aliyahna Morris 5'5" | PG Etiwanda | 2025 State CA | PG | Etiwanda
Morris is freshman who is set to make a big impact this season. She’s a point guard who does a great job handling defensive pressure. She uses a lot of head fakes to get her defender out of position and she’s good off the dribble. She can get into the lane easily, but could use a little more control when finishing. That’ll come though as she develops. She’s got a nice stop and pop jumper. Defensively, she’s solid. Good on-ball defender with quick hands.
Lauren Munoz Lauren Munoz 5'7" | SG Marlborough | 2025 State CA | SG | Marlborough
Munoz is on the younger side, but she knows how to compete with the older girls. She is a tall and lanky guard who can play and also defend multiple positions on the court. Her height allows her to finish at the rim with ease. One of her strengths is her shooting from behind the arc. She is not afraid to let it loose. She has a lot of room to grow and develop.
