Madison Borjas Madison Borjas 5'0" | PG Mcallen Memorial | 2025 TX (Lady Diamonds)
Borjas falls under that #sizedontmatter hashtag because she can definitely play and at times, she can also be electrifying as the numerous game-winners I saw her drop at the buzzer before high school yet she doesn’t just shoot the long ball, her attacking and pulling up for the midrange is definitely a bonus yet so is her ball-handling which enables her to get out of jams
GiGi Betancourt (Lady Diamonds)
Betancourt scored so well off the dribble and that initially grabbed me yet her setting the defender up to go 1 on 1 showed me a lot, especially since she not only finished with either hand but finished strongly after contact. She also showed the midrange and that is lost art but her painting is definitely taking the form
Lyllian Walton Lyllian Walton 5'7" | SG Kinkaid | 2025 TX (TNBA 16U)
Walton is one of those talented young ladies from her family that can hoop. I love her progression, she has always played within herself and under control yet her poise under pressure is definitely going to create some issues as she not only wants the last shot, she can nail it but the outside shot isn’t all, she scores by attacking the rim and is playing good defense
Tayla Kiklunga (Houston Lady Nets 2025)
Kiklunga is one of those players on the verge of exploding and although she’s nowhere near the finished product, which is why I said “on the verge” her timing and elevating to not only block shots and rebound but scoring over defenders and finishing strong will be sending messages because the upside is scary good
Aaliyah Williams (Just Play 15U Gold)
Willaims caught my eye playing for her high school at the Girls Texas Jamboree, go Trey, and I saw plenty of potential in her game and as usual, I see it DEVELOPING just like a Polaroid yet her ability to score off the dribble coupled with her being “long and athletic” is definitely giving her an edge, especially with her first step but she also is showing she can score with the jumper as everything is becoming crystal clear
Jasmine Timmons (Just Play 16U Gold)
Timmons showed that “hands and footwork” I love to see from posts because it is #THROWBACK and not being taught like it once was so observing her maneuverability around the basket to finish with either hand was definitely a bright spot for me, especially since I wasn’t guarding her but her upside is what I’m really looking forward to seeing
