Plenty of info coming at you after this article, I'll drop an Honorable Mention squad, a BREAKOUT squad, a SHOOTERS squad and peep this, an ALL-FRESHMEN squad so when you add that up, as 21 Savage would say, that's #ALOT but please remember, I take a lot of note as well as pictures and I put things together pretty good so Day 2 Top Performers Lila Ashida-5'9 SG(Las Cruces HS) New Mexico Select 2023 and [player_tooltip player_id="261728" first="Taneya" last="Howard"]-5'10 SG/SF (Broken Arrow HS) Banshees 2023 would be here so would Day 3 Top Performers [player_tooltip player_id="331949" first="Tatiana" last="Oliver"]- 5'7 CG (Byrd HS) O.W.E. Family Renegades 2023 but here are even more
Kayla Jones-6'0 F (Moore HS) Team Trae Young 2023
Jones does everything with power, rebounds on both ends, attacks the rim yet from, well anywhere she wants but her putbacks with players literally hanging on her were over the top for me, plus she plays the passing lane and does a good job defending
Mirakle Anderson-5'5 PG (Eastwood HD) El Paso Lady Hurricanes 2023
Anderson is one of the toughest point guards in Texas, she's fearless, dives after loose balls yet still manage to show she can run a team as her court vision and on the money passes are nice, so is her attacking the basket and finishing after contact
[player_tooltip player_id="321732" first="Holli" last="Ladd"]-5'8 SF (Seminole HS) Oklahoma Aces 2023 Knight
Ladd is long and athletic, remember that's the base yet what she adds to her base is impressive because she scores off the dribble as well as on putbacks, yes she rebounds on both ends plus she plays the passing lane and can handle the ball in the open court
[player_tooltip player_id="331959" first="Elizabeth" last="Walton"]-5'7 CG (The Village School) TNBA Houston 2023
Walton is THE GLUE and there aren't too many players that understand how to "create contact" she's one and is an and one waiting to happen yet her leadership, being vocal on the floor, and able to run both the 1 and 2 effective, as well as drop the jumper is solid
Maselyn Lopez-6'0 PF/C (Belen HS) New Mexico Select 2023
Lopez with the "turnaround" jumper got the #THROWBACK yet she also scored from midrange as well as putbacks, she's a terror on the board but she's also long and athletic and does a good job defending both inside and outside the paint
[player_tooltip player_id="321722" first="Jacey" last="Crawford"]-6'2 C (Stillwater HS) Oklahoma Swift 2023
Crawford is long and athletic, yes I say it a lot but her TIMING to block, alter and (or) deflect shots creates some problems but so does her midrange pull-up jumper and with her wingspan, she gets it off whenever she wants. She also does a good job rebounding
Jazma Hooks-5'7 CG ( Jonesboro AK) HLBA 2023
Hooks cut her knee and came over to the trainer that was by me, I told her "you already had my attention, you didn't have to get cut" yet speaking of cuts, her ability to score off the dribble using a very impressive first step was nice, so was her court vision plus the jumper
[player_tooltip player_id="318170" first="Cambri" last="Pawpa"]-5'7 CG (Wagoner HS) Playmaker Express 2023 [2024]
Pawpa is so smooth and watching her consistently create her shot as well as get it off, yes she knocks it down, had me smiling but she also uses that same creativity to attack the rim, with either hand and finish after contact. She also sees the floor swell
[player_tooltip player_id="242119" first="Caya" last="Smith"] 6'0 SF (Putnam West HS) BTR 2023 [2024]
Smith was called a #D1Lock by me before her first middle school game and her comeback had me glad I came back to Oklahoma to see her. To say she is becoming a complete player that can control a game on either end is just an understatement. She's long and athletic, she sees the floor, she's vocal, on both ends, she plays the passing lane, did I mention she was long and athletic, okay plus her mid to long-range jumper, put that all together #BCSLock, wait I said that years ago
[player_tooltip player_id="249270" first="Jadyn" last="Buttery"]-5'11 SF (Talequah HS) Oklahoma Lady Fusion 2024
Buttery doesn't melt under pressure and watching her drop the mid to long-range consistently, showing a nice pull-up jumper just did it but she too is long and athletic, plays the passing lane, and rebounds on both ends of the court
