Prospects 2023 [2023] Raven Brown -AKYB Academy [2022] and Gabrielle Barnes-5’9 SG/SF (Katy Paetow HS) Texas Cagers Select 2023 Blue were on Saturday’s Top Performers squad, they too would be here as well as Sunday’s Top Performers Jaylee Christian-6’2 C (Stillwater HS) Graham’s Shooting Stars Academy 2023 [2024] and Amina Djibrine-6’0 SF (Village School) TNBA Houston 2023
Trinity Wiseman-5’7 CG GOC 2023 [2022]
Wiseman is a heady guard that can play both the 1 and 2, her ability to see the floor and handle under pressure showed all through the event yet she also did a good job setting the defender up to attack the basket or create her jump shot
Hannah Ayala-6’1 PF/C (Immanuel Christian HS) El Paso Lady Hurricanes 2023
Ayala is “long and athletic” please note that’s the base and she can score both around the basket, off the dribble as well as with the jumper but she also rebounds and drumroll please, plays the passing lane
Sophie Baran-5’11 SF (Cinco Ranch HS) Texas Cagers Select 2023-White
Baran rebounded with authority yet she also did a good job of finishing around the basket using good hands and footwork yet her rebounding on the offensive end got her putbacks galore and I’m talking after contact
Hailey Jackson-6’0 SF (BTR 2023)
Jackson was exciting for a number of reasons and crashing the boards starts it off. She’s long and athletic and can elevate, she scored off the dribble, dropped it from deep, even hit the stop and pop in transition but her putbacks after contact truly did it for me
Jada Turner-3T Nation Black 2023
Turner is long and athletic, remember that will always be the base and she does a good job at attacking the basket from the wing yet her desire to rebound, on both ends, stood out, as well as her putbacks
Alyssa Nielsen Alyssa Nielsen 6'0" | PF Bixby | 2023 State OK -6’0 PF (Bixby HS) Team Griffin Elite 2023 Wernli
Nielsen rating continues to go up as she too is long and athletic yet drops that midrange with ease, college coaches love players at or above “the magic number” that can shoot it, 6’0 is that magical number but she also battles on both ends for rebounds
Endia Pradier-5’3 PG (Airline HS) O.W.E. Family Renegades 2023
Pradier is an athletic guard that had me drop the mic as she was going full speed in transition and did one of the best spins, going full speed, and finished, I’ve seen all year but she also sees the floor and drops the jumper, explosive first step helps as well
Madelyn Bills-5’9 SG (Moore HS) Shock 2023 Diaz
Bills fit the profile of several Shock players I’ve watched for what seems like forever but this squad keeps shooters so her length makes her appear taller yet it also allows her to get her shot off with ease and her midrange has been on every event I’ve caught her
Allie Pollock (Lakeside HS) HLBA 2023
Pollock attends the right HS because she was “all the way live” GOOGLE IT, but she’s long and athletic, showed the pull-up jumper with a hand in her face, also rebounded on both ends, and finished after contact on putbacks
Briana Vargas-5’4 PG (Burges HS) New Mexico Select 2023
Vargas shows that the game starts at the 1. She controls the tempo, handles the ball under pressure, and sees the floor yet she also can score both off the dribble as well as using the jumper but her vocalness just keeps everything together
Peyton Conde-5’10 SF (Academy HS) Lone Star Magic 2023
Conde was fierce on the boards, that was a good sign yet an even better one after she finished after the lick but I also liked the fact that she could create her shot and knock down both the mid and long-range
Fayth Walker-5’6 SG (Sand Springs HS) Playmaker Express 2023
Walker gave me a nice mix of what she could do offensively over the weekend, love how she not only creates her shot but she also elevates on the jumper, she knocks down both the mid to long-range yet her first step is deceptive and gets her to the rim
Julianna Matlock Julianna Matlock 5'11" | C Will Rogers | 2023 State OK -5’11 SF (Will Rogers HS) Oklahoma Swift 2023
Matlock probably isn’t related to Ben, he’s a TV character yet she turned it on in the clutch to help seal a victory but hold up, she’s long and athletic, scores off the dribble and with the pull-up jumper yet she also plays the passing lane so I didn’t change the channel
Taryn Crawford Taryn Crawford 6'0" | PF Edmond Santa Fe | 2023 State OK -6’0 PF/C (Santa Fe HS) Oklahoma Aces 2023 Knight
Crawford plays even bigger than her listed size, her “going after everything” off the rim even got me going but her scoring in the paint, including putbacks after contact, was nice yet when dropped a few long balls, I just smiled
Jaicee Lester-5’3 PG (Checotah HS) Team Griffin Select 2023 Cobbins
Lester understands the game and when your BB-IQ is good, everything falls into place but hers is not just good as she thinks the game and her range, very long, opens things up as she sees the floor and can dish off the dribble but she also plays the passing lane
Lilly McGhee-5’4 PG (Bethel HS) Oklahoma Hotshots 2023
McGhee is a heady PG that plays within herself. Understands how to control the tempo and she also does a good job handling the ball yet her court vision as well as attacking off the dribble makes things happen, so does her floater
Tiana Ellison-6’0 PF (Silo HS) Team Trae Young 2023
Ellison is long and athletic, went #THROWBACK for me when she used the “drop step” a lost art, yet her rebounding on both ends, yes she scored on putbacks after contact yet her timing superseded everything at times
Kori Rainwater Kori Rainwater 6'1" | C Tahlequah | 2024 State OK -6’0 PF/C (Tahlequah HS) Oklahoma Lady Fusion 2024
Rainwater just keeps my attention everywhere I see her, she has nice hands and footwork which enable her to score around the basket yet she understands how to use her body and seal the defender, #THROWBACK, and of course, she rebounds strongly as well
Mia Brown Mia Brown 5'7" | CG Victory Christian | 2024 State OK -5’6 G (Victory Christian) Oklahoma Aces 2023 Washington [2024]
Brown does a good job creating contact off the dribble, that’s something you can’t teach, and places her in the “and one waiting to happen” group. Solid ballhandling plus she sees the floor and can drop the jumper
Amirah White-5’8 G (Jenks HS) Team Griffin OKPWR Aeschelaman [2024]
White showed she could score off the dribble with ease each day I saw her, that’s why I color code yet her color was green on the jumper as she created her shot and dropped it consistently from midrange yet it was also red as she played the passing lane
Lauren Danz Lauren Danz 5'9" | PF Fredricksburg | 2024 State TX (Pro Skills San Antonio) [2024]
Danz dances with the ball around the basket, she uses her size well, on both ends because she rebounds strongly but she also can score both off the dribble as well as the midrange, did I mention she was long and athletic
Kya Johnson-5’8 G (Kickapoo HS) DC Queens 2023
Johnson changed hands in mid-air to score, that is an anomaly on this side so yeah, I got pumped but she also sees the floor, scores off the dribble, can drop the jumper, and let me not leave out she applies heat on defense
