Select clubs from our state, descended into Charlotte with hopes of getting better and attracting the eyes of collegiate coaches. From what I saw, our state put in that work and girls got better while they took care of business in Mint City. The Apache Memorial Classic allowed girls from across our state to showcase their talent in front of collegiate coaches. From top dogs such as UCONN to smaller schools such as Queens, schools came far and wide to take in the action. The clubs who represented our state did a phenomenal job. They competed and grinded down opponents, letting other teams know that we play a tough brand of ball in our area.
This is 1 of 2 articles that will highlight some standout players who competed at the Apache Memorial Classic. PGH Tennessee is looking forward to following these young ladies as they start to heat up throughout their travel ball season. Big shout out to all the coaches and directors (and parents) who are making these dreams and opportunities possible for these kids.
