The tournament was host to about 180+ teams and the girls programs were in full effect. The tournament host behind the scenes and the hardest working man in basketball is Quincy Quintero he has done a great job coming up with some key events. Here are a few girls we were impressed with this weekend, they were the ones that put in the work for our staff to see.
2023, 5’6, SG, InderKum HS, Aaliyah Johnson – dynamic guard with great agility and the confidence is thru the roof as we watch her play for her team. She is a capable ball handler, run the team and executes for her coaches and was a pretty speedy guard that could get up and down the floor and keep her opponents on their toes. She can score from all three levels on the floor and was pretty decent defender as we watched her play, she will added to rankings for the 2023 class for sure, we have now put eyes on her.
2024, 5’10, CG, Gabby Robinson – we have watched Gabby play for the past two years and we are still amazed at some of the things she can do on the floor. She put it together this weekend and showed the whole package. What we mean is she can score at all three levels on the floor, she can get to the rim and finish thru contact, she can pull up for the midrange and that three pointer is money. She defends well as we witnessed, as a matter of a fact, she takes it personal when she gets scored on in the game. We are happy to see her settle down and focus on all aspects of the game and put it all together for the coaches to swarm over her this recruiting periods ahead. She already has some offers, so she will be adding to the list, I would say.
2024, 5’7, Bishop Manogue HS (NV), SG, Jaileen Yarrow – shooting guard with a nice touch on her shot, she was very efficient in shooting the three pointer and she showed us that as we watched her play. Has nice size for a shooting guard and is capable of being a good rebounder, taking it off the boards and being able to push the break and finish plays. She is a decent defender on and off the ball, but what we liked was her confidence on the floor as a player and a shooter, no regards for ever missing a shot.
2025, 5’4, PG, Woodcreek HS, Ryan Nair – fast and speedy guard that can handle the ball and take charge of her team on the floor. She is a defensive menace to her opponents, averaging 4.4 steals per game for her high school team. She can score when needed and she proved that as we watched her this past weekend, getting to the rim and knocking down some key shots for her team. She is as quick as a cat and that is why she is able to use those fast hands to get steals and turn those into points for her team.
