Jaida Civil Jaida Civil 5'11" | PG Palm Bay | 2025 State FL , 5’11 (ECU Family 2025) was in the building over the weekend and she was probably the most athletic player on the premises. Civil runs the court at a different speed than mostly everyone and sometimes it just blows the mind. On a fastbreak, Civil scored on a layup where the defender had the angle on her. Later in the game, Civil had the ball stolen. She chased the player down and took the ball back. Many other basketball plays were equally impressive. Civil showed her versatility playing in the paint and also on the wing. She scored on all levels and she was most effective on the inside and in transition. Civil handled the ball very well and helped with the press break. She was also effective on the boards. Often after rebounds, Civil was able to initiate the fast break herself.
Lamaya Hogan, 5’10 (ECU Caswell 2025) did some nice things on the basketball court and her game is definitely at a higher level than it was during her Freshman basketball season. Hogan did a good job of handling the ball. She wasn’t the primary ball-handler, but did lead the offense at times. Hogan’s pull-up jumper was deadly over the weekend, especially in the midrange level. She also pulled up effortlessly from the 3 point range and knocked down several jumpers. Hogan shoots the long ball with a lot of confidence and can shoot it from all areas of the court. Hogan has the ability to shoot the jumper from a set position and can also create her own shot as well. Her pull-up jumper in the midrange area is a beautiful thing to see.
Destiny Donaldson Destiny Donaldson 5'9" | SG Ribault | 2025 State FL , 5’9 (ECU Caswell 2025) Donaldson was full of energy on the court and was really special when running the court. She was a force on the court during the Southern Jam showcase, especially in the transition game. Donaldson scored many of her baskets on fast breakpoints. At times she brought the ball down court herself and at other times, she filled the lanes and got easy layups. Donaldson plays with a lot of energy and with a lot of confidence. She was constantly around the ball. She was a strong Freshman contributor at Ribault High School and looks like she has taken her game to a whole new level.
