There are several really nice power forward and post prospects in Indiana’s 2023 class, a few for each level of college basketball, as well as several under-the-radar kids who should shine this Spring & Summer during the grassroots season. Our Top-200 is currently home to 38 power forwards and 15 centers, making up 26.5% of all 2023 prospects ranked in Indiana. There are true, back-to-the-basket posts, defensive presences, athletes, plus wing and mid-post scoring threats. Below is a look at those 53 prospects, as well as some added information and analysis on a handful of girls who have stood out since our last rankings update in January.

Bishop Chatard | 2023

, 2023, 5-9 PF/SF, Bishop Chatard H.S.
– Caroline had a nice 2021-2022 season and helped lead Chatard to a somewhat surprisingly deep run in the state tournament. She has nice length, balanced athleticism, and she plays with a good motor. She is a willing and capable rebounder, plus she can defend multiple positions on the floor. If she can continue to develop her face-up game and extend it to the perimeter, it will certainly help her recruiting.

Fort Wayne Northrop | 2023
State

, 2023, 6-2 C, Fort Wayne Northrop H.S.
– Brooklyn moved in from Michigan last year, but due to transfer restrictions, she wasn’t able to help the Bruins’ Varsity squad this year. With her in the lineup for 2022-2023, they look primed to become a top-tier team in Class 4A, and they will cause problems for area opponents. Brooklyn is strong, physical, and she plays with a motor. Plus, she has a solid skillset to the mid-post, and she can defend out on the floor a little.

Crown Point | 2023

, 2023, 5-9 PF/SF, Crown Point H.S.
– Abbi began her career by playing her first two years at nearby Andrean, but as a Junior she was in the rotation for a deep and talented Bulldogs program. She has nice length, a wiry-strong frame, and solid all-around athleticism. Abbi plays with a good motor, she can and will battle bigger interior players, but she can also defend the perimeter, handle it a little, and knock down the occasional jumper outside.

Mishawaka Marian | 2023

IN
, 2023, 5-11 PF/SF, Mishawaka Marian H.S.
– MaKaya is a talented athlete with a powerful frame and an outstanding motor. She has the athleticism and versatility to play around the perimeter almost exclusively, but she’s so efficient and productive battling in the mid-post and around the basket, that it’s too tempting not to utilize her production inside. She will definitely have next-level value, because of her ability to play either forward position equally well.
Cadence Singleton

Jeffersonville | 2023
State
IN
, 2023, 5-11 PF, Jeffersonville H.S.
– Cadence was somewhat dominant in this class as a youngster, but she kind of fell off the radar. Well, she has spent the last calendar year putting in the work, she has toned her frame and improved her explosiveness, so much so that she’s almost unrecognizable to people who haven’t seen her in a while. Cadence has started to really develop her mid-post game, and I think she could be a nice hidden gem this Summer.
Saige Stahl

Columbus East | 2023
State
IN
, 2023, 6-1 PF, Columbus East H.S.
– So far this Spring, Saige has continued her upward climb from her outstanding high school season. It manifested with a handful of Division-I offers from the first “Live” period last weekend, plus she’s earned a great deal more interest. She is long, wiry, and bouncy. She plays with a nice motor, has a nose for the ball, and can score it at 15-feet consistently. Her improvement over the last year has been incredible.
