No. 3: Rhian Stokes Rhian Stokes 5'8" | PG Ewing | 2024 State NJ – Ewing
Stokes has really elevated her game to another level this season and is one of the most complete players that we’ve seen across all classes in the state. Watching her pick apart opponents through a medley of different methods, from knocking down three-pointers, scoring in the paint, finding an open teammate for an assist, etc., is like watching a clinic. She is confident and poised as a guard and knows what to do with the ball at all times and all situations of the game. Next winter, Stokes has a real chance to become a triple-double machine.
No. 20: Morgan Marshall Morgan Marshall PG University | 2024 State NJ – Montclair
Unfortunately, we were able to see just three games of Marshall this season after a stellar freshman season where she averaged over 20 points a game. She slid down the list a bit as a result of that, but we’ll for sure see plenty of her this coming season if all goes well. Marshall dominates inside the perimeter and takes away so many perimeter opportunities on defense with steals and deflected passes. Expect to see her jump up the rankings before the start of the season with the knowledge of what she’s done so far in her career. This is a high-level pure scorer who puts on a clinic on the floor.
No. 22: Hope Masonius Hope Masonius 5'9" | PG Manasquan | 2024 State NJ – Manasquan
Masonius has grown into her current role as one of Manasquan’s main point guards this season. With Mary Elizabeth Donnelly graduating this year, Masonius is poised to be the main point guard for this team. She can both score and rebound and has range from beyond the arc while showing an ability to pass and defend. There are a lot of areas of game that need improving, but down the stretch run this year, it was Masonius that put together great performance after great performance to catapult Manasquan to the TOC. Her ceiling is quite high right now and will continue to soar this summer.
No. 23: Cadence Anderson Cadence Anderson 5'5" | PG Palmyra | 2024 State NJ – 5-5, Palmyra
When you think of point guards, you don’t immediately think of shot-blockers, but Anderson has seemed to re-invent the position this season, recording roughly 1.5 blocks a game and 4.5 steals a game for Palmrya. She can light it up from beyond the arc, drive in the lane for a quick bucket or draw contact to get to the foul line. Any way you can think of scoring, Anderson is able to provide that and then some. Her rebounding works well into her game as her defense is the best part of her overall game as a player. This is a point guard who could easily average a double-double by the end of her high school career. Keep an eye out for what Anderson does this summer before what’s expected to be a big junior season.
No. 25: Amanda Baylock Amanda Baylock 5'6" | PG Scotch Plains-Fanwood | 2024 State NJ – 5-5, Scotch Plains-Fanwood
Baylock could easily be considered a shooting guard by her great ability to shoot from the beyond the arc. However, when looking at her overall game, she fits the characteristics of a point guard much better, starting with how she can command offenses. This is a player who put up 14/5/5 numbers as a sophomore with a smooth three-point shot and nearly three steals a game. That’s a well-balanced guard who brings most everything to the table for the Raiders. Her scoring is dispersed evenly, showcasing an ability to beat opponents in a number of ways on offense. Overall, there’s a lot to like about Baylock heading into the summer.
