With over 5 plus courts spread throughout the massive facility, picking the right spot to have visibility of multiple games at once was key. 12 plus hours, 64 teams, 8 games at one time, and an endless amount of talent.. there’s no other way to spend a Saturday.
Below are my Pt 2 standouts from Day 1
’24 Brynn Eshoo Brynn Eshoo 6'2" | SF Fremd | 2024 State IL | 6’1 Forward | Full Package 17
The length and effortless skillset give Eshoo the advantage over most. She’s agile, athletic, and has superb footwork. In the paint and the mid, Brynn can put the ball in the bucket. High versatility and mobility when she’s moving through traffic and transition. Huge upside and a tremendous amount of potential.
’23 Maureen Regan | 5’5 Guard | Chicago Sky Academy 17
A combo guard at its finest. Regan is can be the primary scorer with her ability to score at all 3 levels or be the main facilitator due to her outstanding vision, pinpoint passes, and ball-handling ability. Regan is quick, shifty, and strong, and when you pair that with her high IQ.. she’s able to uplift her teammates and excel in any type of offense.
’23 Ada Taute Ada Taute 6'0" | SF Saint Ignatius College Prep | 2023 IL | 6’0 Wing | Chicago Sky Academy 17
From every aspect of the game, Taute has an abundance of skills. She can legit score from all levels, guard 2-5, and crash the boards with anyone. High IQ and patience when she’s going to work on the block. An efficient type of game, that’s simple but that completely gets the job done on both sides of the ball. A plug-and-play type of player.
’24 Talya Tillman Talya Tillman 5'11" | SF Kenwood | 2024 State IL | 5’11 Wing | Chicago Hoops Express 17 Navy
Tillman has springs for legs. She’s uber-athletic, has great stamina, and plays the game with a chip on her shoulder. She has 2-3 go to moves in the post, but when they’re working, her matchup is in for a long game. Defensively her motor is unlimited. She can chase you down, play straight up and deflect and alter shots without getting in foul trouble. Talya’s upside is high, coaches need to get familiar ASAP.
’24 Kylee Norkus Kylee Norkus 5'10" | SG Neuqua Valley | 2024 State IL | 5’10 Guard | Midwest Elite 16 EYBL
Norkus is one of the most in-shape players I’ve personally seen. Every play and possession she’s giving 100% if not more, and that’s on both sides of the ball. Her attitude and will to win are contagious and you can see it in how hard she plays. In the open court… Norkus is not who you want coming at you. She’s strong, athletic, and can get past anyone or go through everyone, and still finish around the rim with a soft touch.
’25 Mazie Fleming Mazie Fleming 6'3" | C Taylorville | 2025 State IL | 6’3 Forward | Illinois Elite 16 Diamond BSTTJL
Length and strength… Mazie in the post is automatic. She finds her spots and angles and then just goes to work. Her body control, pace, and solid footwork are the main key factors to why she’s a matchup mismatch… and that’s on both sides of the court. High IQ, tough and plays every possession with a purpose. Her game will continue to elevate, the potential is crazy.
’25 Aubrey Galvan Aubrey Galvan 5'7" | PG Loyola Academy | 2025 State IL | 5’6 Guard | Full Package 17 Black
Defensively… Galvan is a lockdown pest with ELITE stamina. On the ball, off-ball, transition.. it doesn’t matter, she finds a way to get the ball from her opponent. Offensively is a whole different type of problem that the other team has to try to deal with. Vision? Superb. Handles? On a string. Scoring type? Three levels, but with patience. She’s having fun, and the game is moving in slow motion for her. You just have to watch this kid in person.
