Da’Myni Johnson, 2023, Guard, Liberty Excel
This was my first time seeing Da’Myni as I had not seen any of Calvert High’s games last season. She has good size for a guard at about 5’8″ and has a physical style. She seeks out contact when finishing in the paint and rebounding. She excels at grabbing the board and then igniting the fast break. She’s an above average athlete with some explosiveness to her game. She is more of a scorer than a pure shooter but she gets buckets. She can definitely help a program at the next level. She has had some big scoring outbursts this spring and should have a big senior campaign.
Andrea Harding, 2026, Forward, Under8ed
Very impressed with Andrea as she is long and agile at 5’11″. She worked to establish good post position and really focused on her footwork. It’s not fluid yet but it’s clear she is putting in work and has potential. She has good defensive instincts and timing on her shot block attempts.
Jayah Spellar, 2026, Guard, Team Maryland
Tough guard that provides spark and hustle to her team. Very quick with the ball and knows how to get to the basket. She gave her team two “And 1” situations in the game I saw. She is headed to Rosedale Christian in the fall.
Summer Smith, 2024, Guard, Under8ed
Summer is one smooth operator. She had an excellent game, scoring at all three levels and flashing some playmaking ability. She has a nice crossover game and uses that to get to her floaters and pull ups. She got all the way to the hoop going left and right and finished well. She added some long range shots for good measure.
Bailey Harris Bailey Harris 5'10" | CG St. Mary's | 2026 State MD , 2026, Guard, Team Maryland
Bailey had an awesome showing on Saturday. She’s a versatile combo guard that can step into threes in transition or finish in the paint with either hand. She sets screens and boxes out, never shying away from contact. She gave the team quality minutes at the point and dished out some assists. She is headed to St. Mary’s in Annapolis next year.
Ava Sewell, 2026, Guard Elevate Elite
Smooth lefty guard that knocked down some long three pointers off the dribble. Physical defender and she finishes in the paint through contact.
Lilia Mellor, 2026, Guard, Elevate Elite.
Crafty guard with a good handle. She is sneaky in the passing lanes where she came up with multiple deflections and steals. Showed her range out to the three point line but was most effective with floaters and short shots around the basket.
Kiamiya Scott, 2026 Guard, Team Maryland
Strong defender with good length and quick hands. When she locked in she was able to keep people in front of her easily. She flashed some skills on offense, getting to the basket and finishing with a soft touch. She is also headed to St. Mary’s in Annapolis.
