The Metroplex is filled with so much talent of all ages. My last article I focused on the Varsity division of the Dallas Mavericks Jr. NBA Classic. This article we are going to switch gears and take a look at the girl’s division. So much skill was on display. The shooting, the foot work, the on point passing. I was impressed, these were my outstanding performers for the girl’s division.
Katelynn Bailey | 2026| G | OWE 2026 |
Bailey stood out in the Dallas Mavericks Jr. NBA Classic due to her hard work and dedication to every play. When it comes to play hard, getting the 50-50 balls, making winning plays Bailey was everyone. I loved seeing her passion in the game. A true and traditional pg that looks for her teammates and creates plays by seeing the play before it happens. She was the quarterback to this dynamic offense team OWE 2026 possess.
Anna Carroll | 2026| G | Divas JV |
Carroll played up in the JV division and did a great job of controlling the tempo of the game for the Divas. She distributed the ball at a high level while dealing with the full court pressure from her opponent. She didn’t turn the ball over and made sure the Divas got into their sets.
Zaria Kyalo | 2026| G | Divas JV |
Kyalo played well at the Dallas Mavericks Jr. NBA Classic. She showed she was one of the better players of her class playing up in the JV division. Every time it looked as if the Divas opponents were pulling away Kyalo would known a big three or make a big play that kept the Divas in the game.
Addison Castilleja | 2026| G | OWE 2026 |
Long, Lengthy, Strong, and Athletic are a few words that can be used to describe Castilleja. She is an all-around athlete, whatever her coach asked her to do she did it. Whomever her coach asked her to guard she did that too. She literally can guard all five positions and do it well. Her defense leads to her offense. She’s an all-around athlete, she ran the floor like a deer that led to many opportunities for her OWE 2026 team.
Grace Holden Grace Holden 5'9" | SG Burkburnett | 2026 TX | 2026| G | OWE 2026 |
Can you say shooter! Holden can shoot the ball off of the catch as well as off the dribble. I love her ability to be able to shoot the ball with confidence and with ease. Holden was putting together her total package as the Dallas Mavericks Jr. NBA Classic was going on. I cannot wait to see how much more greatness will pour from her as she continues to play the game of basketball.
Alexa Tabbs | 2025| G | RBC GOLD |
Knock down shooter! Tabbs may have been one of if not the best three-point shooter in the tournament. In three games Tabbs was eight for thirteen from the three-point line. Impressive by any standards male, female, young or old this young lady can shoot the ball. Tabbs possesses a beautiful smooth stroke that accompanies her smooth game. She is explosive and extremely fast. Defensively she is everywhere. Active in the passing lanes as well as on ball defense.
Valerie Guerrero| 2025| G | RBC GOLD |
At 5’1 Guerrero is fearless. She attacks the basket with a ferocity that is second to none. She finished well over the weekend at the Dallas Maverick Jr. NBA Classic. Though she is small in stature she finishes BIG! In the open court she is a problem and cannot be stopped. Her ability to get to the rim to draw the defense and kick out to her teammates is a thing of beauty to watch. As much as she can score and fill it up herself, she is very unselfish.
