Continue ReadingThe SD Network 14U roster is a deep and highly talented group. Quite an exciting group to watch and evaluate. They were in Milwaukee in April for the Windy City Classic and they took home the championship in their pool. The evaluation below is from a single game in their win against Team Wisconsin. I was able to watch the entire game. Overall, the SD Network played fast offensively and brought a tenacious full-court pressure that exposed Team Wisconsin.
Congratulations Pool MM/NN Champions SD-Network 14 Sean!

Sadie Mehrman Sadie Mehrman 5'9" | CG Harrisburg | 2026 State SD – 5’9 G 2026 – Harrisburg – SD Network – Sadie is an up-and-coming elite prospect in South Dakota. She has already secured an offer from D1 program, University of North Dakota. The team’s best prospect is a smooth and skilled lefty guard. She can get to the hoop with length and quickness, and also is a big threat from three. Going to the hoop, she will take on contact and finish with her dominant left hand. Becomes a threat as a passer when she puts the ball on the floor, and when defensive help comes, she’ll kick-out to shooters. Has a left-handed floater game, allowing her to score from all angles and spots on the court. You’re not going to find a more well-rounded skill-set, with her possessing all the necessary skills. She’s a nightmare of a defensive matchup that attacks in many ways. She gives effort on the defensive side of the ball and is highly active in a press and in on-ball coverage. Sadie is a top prospect in the state and will garner heavy D1 attention — especially in the region.
Class of ‘26 🏀 @sadiemehrman with a nice Running Vertical PR yesterday!

Alyvia Padgett Alyvia Padgett 5'7" | PG Brandon Valley | 2026 State SD – 5’7 PG 2026 – Brandon Valley – SD Network – Another lefty guard, Alyvia is a very advanced 2026 prospect in terms of her skills. An elite passer, and it comes easy and natural to her. Loves to push the tempo and pass the ball ahead to her teammates. Has a compact build and has great explosive ability on the court. Can attack quickly off the dribble. Plays tougher and stronger than her counterparts. Also has an offer from University of North Dakota, and translates to a point guard. Doesn’t have D1 size but plays with that type of mentality and skill. A very tough-minded and strong guard.
Mak Scott Mak Scott 6'0" | C Lyman | 2026 State SD – 6’0 F/C 2026 – Lyman – SD Network – Mak started out the game at the Windy City Classic as the center. Mak is a good athlete and mover that plays with a solid motor in the paint. A 6’0 2026 prospect that isn’t limited to being a traditional back-to-the-basket post.
Bree Umbreit Bree Umbreit 6'2" | SF Tea Area | 2026 State SD – 6’2 F/C 2026 – Tea Area – SD Network – Bree is a solid athlete and mover as a 2026 6’2 prospect. Runs the floor well and accelerates well with great top-speed. Her movement, length, and 6’2 frame immediately standout. Gives good overall effort, but her playing strength may be her weakness at the moment. Being such a young prospect at 6’2, this is common and she should develop in that area. Offensively, she can play near the hoop and also away from the hoop comfortably. Will attack the offensive glass and create opportunities.
Anika Pedersen Anika Pedersen 5'9" | SF Brandon Valley | 2026 State SD – 5’9 F 2026 – Brandon Valley – SD Network – Anika is another solid all-around prospect. She does all the right things on both ends and can knockdown a three for SD Network. She was fairly aggressive from three and doesn’t need much space or time to get her stand-still three off. Has good length, movement, and ability to stretch the floor.
Sydney Terveen Sydney Terveen 5'10" | SF O'Gorman | 2026 State SD – 5’9 Wing 2026 – O’Gorman – SD Network – Sydney is one of those long wing type of prospects. Crashes the offensive glass and plays with great effort. Can “board and go” and go coast-to-coast on her own. Gets from end-to-end in a hurry. Seems to be one of those prospects with a ton of upside, because of her elite athleticism and prototypical length. Going to be a major player for O’Gorman in the near future.
Dana Harpe Dana Harpe 5'9" | PG Sioux Falls Washington | 2026 State SD – 5’4 PG 2026 – Sioux Falls Washington – SD Network – Dana is very long for a 5’4 guard, and easily has a positive wingspan. She uses her long arms actively on defense. I wouldn’t be surprised if she grew significantly in height and become a much better prospect. Very active defensively on the ball and will pressure heavily in a great defensive stance. Can handle the ball and pass the ball solidly, without limitations.
