However, I did my best to spread things out and catch at least 2 games from a number of different teams, all with players that are local to Kentucky. So, let’s look at who stood out to me in the class of 2025, as well as a couple of younger players that were playing up on 2025 squads.
Grace Bale Grace Bale 5'7" | SG Taylor County | 2025 State KY | Class of 2025 | 2025 KY Dream – Stallings
Bale was impressive on both sides of the ball. She was getting low and sliding her feet on defense, and she was handling pressure and putting the ball in the basket on offense. She’s got good speed, great court vision, and an excellent shot. The lefty has really nice form and a quick release on her shot. She also has deep range. However, she was also making strong drives to the basket and finishing with contact. Bale did a really good job of reading the ball handler’s eyes to come up with deflections and steals.
Brittany Campbell Brittany Campbell 5'6" | PG Madison Central | 2025 State KY | Class of 2025 | Richmond Heat 2023 & 2025
Campbell needs to be on everyone’s radar. On top of her skillset, she has all of the tools that can’t be taught. She has an extremely high basketball IQ, excellent court awareness, and it’s all business when she steps on the court. Campbell can really put the ball in the basket, but she also creates so much for her teammates. Her passes are so impressive. When it comes to her own scoring, she can shoot the ball from deep range at a high percentage, she can get to the rim, or she can score in the mid-range.
Anna Tinelli Anna Tinelli 5'7" | PG Bullitt East | 2026 State KY | Class of 2026 | 2025 KY Premier Head EYBL
Tinelli is an excellent ball handler. When you consider that she still hasn’t entered high school, her talent goes well beyond her years. The first thing that grabbed my attention was Tinelli’s speed. She was so fast even when she had the ball in her hands. However, my attention shifted to her skillset quickly. She can really handle the ball and she can handle it with a lot of pressure. The pressure didn’t seem to phase her at all. She created so much and she can score in a variety of ways. It doesn’t take much space for her to get her shot off from deep. Tinelli played great defense as well.
Savannah Triplett | Class of 2025 | Kentucky ICE 2024
Triplett’s scoring and rebounding abilities have been on full display throughout the past 2 weekends. She can really put the ball in the basket, a skill that played a big role in her team’s comeback win in their championship game on Sunday. Triplett was scoring 3’s, finishing tough and-1 buckets, and making great passes. She was drawing help and finding the open player. She was also active in the passing lanes and had active hands on the defensive end of the court, coming up with multiple steals and blocks.
Amirah Jordan | Class of 2027 | 2025 LGR Team Walker
I had heard a lot about Jordan prior to this weekend, but I had never gotten the chance to really watch her play. After watching her, I see what all of the hype is about. She is an elite point guard who can go as far as she wants to with this game. She is such a high IQ player and she creates better than most players she plays against that are 2+ years older than her. Jordan handles pressure well, she throws absolute dimes, and she anticipates. She can also score inside or out. She has good range on her outside shot and she can really shift around the basket to get the ball in the hoop. Her defense was also impressive.
