Jent is a solid defender with great lateral quickness. She knows how to slide her feet to keep who she’s guarding in front of her. She plays hard defense and avoids getting in foul trouble. On offense, she’s a good passer and enjoys getting her teammates involved. She is a knocked-down shooter from deep when she gets an open look. Her offensive awareness is high she knows how to find her sweet spots on the floor. Jent is good at drawing contact while driving to the rim which provides easy points for her at the charity stripe. I can tell she works hard at her conditioning as well she has no problem playing the entire game. Her stamina will come in clutch during the end of close games for the Lady Raiders this upcoming season.
Savannah Lacer-Henderson County-PG-5’1″
Coach Haile has the one of toughest point guards in the region. Do not underestimate her small stature Savannah Lacer is a true competitor she plays hard for her team each and every game. She’s a real floor general and can break a press by herself with her blazing speed and ball handling ability. She plays the passing lanes well on defense and comes up with multiple steals per game. Lacer plays the PG position so I expect her to become more of a vocal leader this season for the Lady Colonels.
Tanaya Bailey Tanaya Bailey 5'8" | SG Bowling Green | 2023 State KY -Bowling Green-SG-5’8″
Clavin Head has some really talented players on the roster at BGHS. Tanaya Bailey Tanaya Bailey 5'8" | SG Bowling Green | 2023 State KY is a prime example of that talent. The junior guard has star potential written all over her. She is a slasher/scorer type of player on offense she is fearless when driving to the rim and can finish even with contact. She has a phenomenal dribble pull up game and is a very effective long distance shooter who can make difficult shots. Bailey is a real ball hawk defender she uses her length and athleticism to be disruptive and wreak havoc on defense. She has a bright future I anticipate she will receive multiple offers by her senior year.
Maya Mandy-Assumption-G/SF
Mandy is a very good all-around player. She is skilled enough to handle the ball and set up the offense. She displays a smooth shooting stroke from mid range and allows follows her shot. Mandy is a excellent scorer in the paint and has a variety of post moves that she uses to her advantage. She is a physical player and uses her body well to box out and create rebound opportunities. Mandy will make her presence known in the 7th region this season.
Ashlyn Tingle-Henry County-C/PF-5’11”
Tingle is a force to be reckoned with in the 31st district. Her size and strength makes her a difficult task for any defender in the low post. Once she establishes offensive position she becomes very hard to handle down low. She has soft touch at the rim and can finish with both hands. Tingle is a rebounding machine and knows how to keep the ball above her head to avoid turnovers from defenders reaching in. Entering her junior year I expect Tingle to be a top player in the district.
Macey Littleton-Mason County-PG/G
The Lady Royals have the best backcourt in the district. One of their key contributors is junior guard Macey Littleton. She is a catch and shoot scorer with unlimited range. She displays great court vision and keeps her head up while running the fast break which helps her find open teammates for the assist. Littleton is always looking to make the right play and she works hard on both ends of the floor. I believe she will be one of the top scorers in the 39th district this season.
