The games were close, and spectators were on the edge of their seats. High point performances and big-time plays were on display in Spartanburg, SC. Here are the players that left a lasting impact on our scouts this weekend.
Anastasia Gillam Anastasia Gillam 5'3" | PG JL Mann | 2027 State SC I 5’1 I PG I 2027 I Greenwood Storm 2026
Gillam had an awesome weekend. She led her team to the 14U championship. It was my first time seeing her play, but she definitely left a lasting impact. Her sheer will to get basket left her opponents on ice. A player that loves to have the ball in her hands. In a few close games when her team needed a basket, she was clutch. Very good at penetrating the gaps and finding her open teammates. A true playmaker that plays with a ton of energy.
Macy Spivey I 5’10 I SF I 2026 I Richmond Heat 2026
Spivey is a gamechanger that has been hitting the stat line all circuit long. A player that played up a few times over the weekend. Her length created matchup problems which allowed her to score at ease at the basket. A player that can do it all and the highlight of the weekend was her 20-point performance in the semifinals. As the summer goes on, she will be a player to watch as she enters high school next season.
Resse Holman I 5’7 I SG I 2026 I Q4 Elite 2026
Holman is the quiet scorer. She had a few games on the weekend when she would just explode for 6-8 straight points. A player that handles the ball well in transition and knows how to slice through the defense. Not afraid to get up and play defense 94ft. Knows how to put her head down and score through contact. Also has a nice outside shot that she can consistently knock down.
Elle Roberts I 5’8 I Wing I 2027 I Mobile Lady Hornets 2026
I call Roberts the “Energizer Bunny”. A player that just outworks everyone on the court. When the game is on the line, she rattled off 8 straight points to secure a comeback victory for her team. A player that lives around the rim creating extra possessions for her team. If you don’t box her out she will continue to crash the boards hard. Knows how to score through contact and finish at the rim. A player that keeps growing each game. Exciting player to watch.
Jade Kitchens I 5’6 I SG I 2026 I Lady Empact 2026
Kitchens is a high energy player that gets her teammates going. The thing that stood out was her ability to use her length to score over her opponents. One of the most consistent players I seen all weekend. A player that plays hard on both ends of the floor and knows how to rebound with the best of them. In a close game with Hoop-Phi she hit clutch baskets down the stretch to help secure a victory for her team.
