No matter what court you were watching when it came down to the 16U teams you were in for a treat. Here are the players that stood out for me in the 16U division.
Annarose Tyre Annarose Tyre 5'8" | PG Lambert | 2025 State GA I 2025 I Georgia Flames
Annarose had some of the best handles I saw on the weekend. High IQ guard that sees the floor and knows how to take what the defense gives her. One thing that stood out is her ability to pass. Hard to stop her when she is going downhill and penetrating the gaps. Her ability to drive, pull up and shoot it from deep makes her so hard to guard. A player that plays both ends of the floor and lets her defense fuel her offense. High energy guard that should be on all college coaches’ radars going into July and during the high school season.
Adyson Adams Adyson Adams 5'7" | SG Pensacola Catholic | 2025 State FL I 2025 I Team Passion
Adams made play after play this weekend for Team Passion. She has the ability to change the game with the energy she provides. A player that gets out in transition and find the open spots to score. Scrappy defender that is not afraid to get up and pressure all over the court. Has a quick release from 3 and scored at will in the game against Florida Lady Aces. Showed her ability to knock the 3 ball consistently throughout the weekend. Her defensive prowess is what stood out most.
Kyndall Ellis I 2026 I Florida Lady Aces
Ellis had an awesome showing this past weekend. Teams tried to pack it in and keep her out the paint however her shifty handles allowed her to get to the rim. She knows how to get her body in position to take the contact and get to the free throw line. A player that is a true floor general and always looking to get her teammates involved. She has quick hands-on defense, and her length allows her to get deflections. Young talented guard that will make some noise next season in Florida.
Teaira Kelley I 2025 I Team Nite Nite
Kelley known as the lock down defender that is not afraid to get up and pressure full court. At 6’0 she doesn’t mind guarding all 5 positions on the court. She lets her defense fuel her offense and when her team needs a stop, they can rely on Kelley to get a turnover. A player that knows how to use her body to get to the free line where she can consistently knock it down. She does all the little things that may not show up on the stat sheet. Exciting player to watch on both ends of the floor.
Stephanie Vega Stephanie Vega 5'7" | SF Somerset Silver Palms | 2026 State FL I 2026 I Miami Impact 2025
Vega is an exciting player to watch. Shifty with her handles which allows her to slash through the defense and get to the basket. Her ability to push the ball in transition makes it tough for her to be guarded as she sees the floor well. The play that stood out over thew weekend, was when she drove to the basket and did a fake behind the back pass which froze her defender and she continued for the layup. Has the ability to take over the game as she can shoot it from deep or beat you off the dribble. I call her the highlight reel because at any given time she can bring a Top 10 play. Had a couple of 20 point plus games on the weekend.
