Here is our first batch of stock risers for our latest Missouri class ranking updates, starting with the Class of 2023. These seven players, who are now seniors, all had notable junior campaigns that showcased why they are among the best in the Show-Me State.
<strong>No. 3 from No. 4: [player_tooltip player_id="193484" first="Tori" last="Rubel"] </strong>Ι<strong> 6’1" </strong>Ι<strong> SF </strong>Ι<strong> Cape Notre Dame: </strong>The UT Martin commit is one of the top all-around talents in the entire Midwest. Dominant three-level scorer and possesses the smoothest shooting stroke in her class. Pulls up off the dribble effortlessly from all areas and overwhelms defenders when attacking the rim due to her size, strength and athleticism. Pro-level defender due to her wingspan, ability to cover a lot of ground quickly and trapping ball handlers all by herself. Masterful rebounder and pusher of the ball.
<strong>No. 9 from No. 19: [player_tooltip player_id="200722" first="Kaylee" last="King"] </strong>Ι<strong> 5’4"</strong> Ι<strong> PG </strong>Ι<strong> Ellington: </strong>Arguably the most elusive ball handler in the state with all of the offensive moves in her arsenal. Incredible quickness off the bounce and is always looking to make the right shot or pass. Is quick to pull up from 3-point range and gets in quite the rhythm knocking down treys. Great use of her hands to tip away or come up with the ball for easy transition buckets. Excellent job of distributing the rock on the move.
<strong>No. 16 from No. 20: [player_tooltip player_id="204491" first="Olivia" last="Hahn"] </strong>Ι<strong> 5’9" </strong>Ι<strong> CG </strong>Ι<strong> Incarnate Word Academy: </strong>Without a doubt one of the top shooters in Missouri as she has considerable range from beyond the arc. Rarely misses when catching and shooting. Has a nice pump fake and crossover dribble in order to attack the basket. Slashes defenders with ease due to her fine-tuned euro and overall speed. Very quick to the ball and has nice court vision in order to come up with easy takeaways and scores.
<strong>No. 21 from No. 69: [player_tooltip player_id="252296" first="Lauren" last="Friedrich"] </strong>Ι<strong> 5’11"</strong> Ι<strong> SG </strong>Ι<strong> California: </strong>Is a serious threat offensively with her step-back jumper. Also pulls up with fluidity and fields an impressive dribble drive, which always makes defenders second guess what she’s going to do with the ball. Mirrors ball handlers and perfectly times going for the ball. Creates tremendously well for herself without the ball against defenders trying to smother her. Has a great quick spin in order to get around players for easy buckets.
<strong>No. 25 from No. 87: [player_tooltip player_id="170219" first="Victoria" last="Swingle"] </strong>Ι<strong> 5’7"</strong> Ι<strong> CG </strong>Ι<strong> St. Michaels: </strong>One of the top defenders in Missouri as she has a knack for always going for the ball. Uses her top-notch awareness and court vision to break down plays for timely steals and blocks. Head-turning effort and toughness by fighting for possession nonstop. Does a nice job of pulling up off the dribble and can catch fire from beyond the arc. Fluid with the ball in her hands in transition and attacking the basket.
<strong>No. 28 from No. 48: [player_tooltip player_id="170375" first="Miranda" last="Patterson"] </strong>Ι<strong> 5’4" </strong>Ι<strong> CG </strong>Ι<strong> South Shelby: </strong>Smooth can only barely define how she is with the ball in her hands. Leaves defenders in the dust with her sharp crossovers to either hit open jumpers or effortlessly drive to the rim. Hard to stop when attacking the basket due to her quickness. Incredible job handling the ball and can elude multiple players with one move. Has a nice step-back jumper and can hit it from a variety of ranges.
<strong>No. 40 from No. 102: [player_tooltip player_id="317714" first="Kyla" last="Schnurbusch"] </strong>Ι<strong> 5’6" </strong>Ι<strong> PG </strong>Ι<strong> Perryville: </strong>Extremely high motor on both ends of the court. Always a threat to hit a pull-up jumper, which allows her to fake out defenders and kick the ball out mid air to open shooters. Is able to slash through and beat multiple defenders due to her incredible burst and fine-tuned moves. Does an phenomenal job of picking the ball away for several fast break scores per game. Next-level, pinpoint distribution of the ball from all levels.
