We want to salute those who have a magnificent stroke from beyond the arc as well as in the midrange part of the game. Here are a few girls we saw this spring who can fill it up and also they are what you call SHOT MAKERS… We been to numerous events, watched some tape on kids in the circuit tournaments, but stats always tell the truth, here are the girls we believe are good shooter.
2023, 6’2, CG, Sierra Canyon HS, Judea Watkins Judea Watkins 6'1" | CG Windward | 2023 State #1 Nation CA – Juju is that player every one loves to watch and everyone wants to play with especially cause she is gonna bring every coach in the country in to watch her play, so her teammates are getting big opportunities to be seen. Juju is scoring the ball at a high clip, leading the EYBL circuit in scoring with a 23.6ppg and 10.4rpg, some double-double. She is dynamic, she is athletic, she is exciting and one of the toughest girls on the floor, but she has developed that stroke and is shooting at a clip of 35% from the three line. That is why we are including her in being a shot maker, she makes threes in abundance and will improve on a daily in our opinion.
2023, 5’10, CG, Valley View HS, Ari Long Ari Long 5'9" | SG Valley View HS | 2023 State CA – Ari is a scorer in her own right as well, she can put the ball in the basket at will and she is also a very good three point shooter for her team and on the EYBL circuit. Ari is a long bodied forward that plays with a lot of intensity and grit, she is tough, she is athletic and she is a bucket waiting to happen. She can score with the best of them, but her specialty is getting buckets at anytime her teams needs them, she shoots the ball well out to the three point line and she has a good stroke from the arc in our opinion, she is shooting about 33% from three as we watched her play in certain games.
2023, 5’10, SG, Pasadena Poly HS, Paige Lim Paige Lim 5'10" | SG Pasadena Poly | 2023 State CA – Paige surprised us and let us see some great shooting displayed this spring, she is shooting the ball at a clip of 55% from the three line in the EYBL circuit. That is pretty good for anyone and she is knocking them down like it is a layup for her. We have heard of games where she was 5-8 or 4 of 9 and a few more, but overall, she was 16/29. We believe she is what you call a SHOTMAKER, if she is open and gets a good look at it, it is going down in the stat book as a three made, we call that WET, nothing but NET. Paige is going to also be added to the RANKINGs this time around, she is dynamic to us in that regard.
2023, 5’8, SG, Windward HS, Skye Belker Skye Belker 5'8" | SG Windward HS | 2023 State CA – Belker is solid wing player with a versatile offensive skill-set. She’s a good ball-handler and comfortable making moves off the dribble. She can pull-up and shoot and she can get all the way to the rim as well. Good shooter from three point range especially in catch and shoot situations. She has a little playmaking to her game as well. She can draw the defense and get some easy shot opportunities for her teammates. We are also a fan of her three point game, she has shown us that she has a nice stroke and should be labeled a SHOTMAKER.
