Las Cruces Premier traveled to Arizona to play four games in the three-day basketball tournament. After talking to Coach Javier Salazar he said, there was 16 courts and it was one of the best basketball venues he’s traveled too.

Las Cruces Premier went 3-1 during their tournament in Arizona. In their first game, they lost to “Clutch Players” a team from Oregon. This was the only game they lost during the tournament and they were led by Aspen Salazar Aspen Salazar 5'9" | SF Centennial | 2023 State NM who scored a team high 18 points in the game. The soon to be senior continues to have an excellent off-season preparing for her senior year next year. Las Cruces won their next three games. In their second game they defeated the ’Arizona Stangs”. In the teams third game, they defeated “Treyyy City Basketball” a Northwest team from Washington State. In the teams final game, they defeated “Spokane Legacy” another team from Washington. They were led by Caitlin Turnbow Caitlin Turnbow 5'10" | PF Organ Mountain | 2024 State NM who dominated the paint inside on both ends of the floor and did her share of scoring, rebounding and blocking shots.
After a conversation with Coach Javier Salazar, he said it was a great experience for his team to play in this event. Las Cruces Premier got to play in front of several college coaches who are actively recruiting players to compete at the next level.
Las Cruces Premier has been busy this off-season attending numerous tournaments. They’ve attended Dallas and competed in the “Heart of Texas” tournament. They also competed in the “Prime Event” tournament in Texas. Coming up for the rest of this off-season, the players on this roster will be competing with their high schools for the rest of June during team camps. Than in July, they will compete in three different tournament during a highly recruiting month. They will participate in the “Super Sixty Four” in Dallas. They will compete in the “Nike Tournament of Champions” in Chicago. Lastly, they will compete in the “Rocky Mountains of Madness” in Denver.
