We are diving into five players from the 2025 class that earned minutes last year but have a chance to shine in the 2022-2023 season.
Alex Beveridge Alex Beveridge 5'7" | CG Hershey Public S | 2025 State NE | Hershey | Guard | 5’9″
Beveridge is talented offensively. In four of her last nine games, she scored over 20 points on about 15 shot attempts per game. On the year, she averaged 13.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.4 steals per game. Beveridge does not lack confidence, attacking the lanes or pulling up quickly off screens. Her physicality allows her to pressure opposing guards and play through most contact. Her sophomore year may have many turning heads to watch her play.

Maya Dolliver | Pender | Guard | 5’6″
At her size and age, Dolliver is a scrappy do it all kind of guard. She averaged 12.5 points, 3.2 assists, 4.8 rebounds and 2.9 steals per game her freshman year. Dolliver has lighting quick feets and hands with a high intelligence on the court. She can get out on fast break and get buckets or pull up from deep with consistency. As she develops her creativity and strength to get more looks, she could explode on the scene with some gaudy numbers.

Rylie Harris | Homer | Guard | 5’6″
Harris has a smooth element to her game. She is able to navigate well in traffic and get to the rim at a high clip. In her freshman season, she averaged 12.0 points, 2.8 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game. She lives in the lane right now, shooting 42% from inside the arc. Harris has shown she can knock down shots with range but is continuing to work on her shot mechanics to increase efficiency from distance. As her jump shot improves, Harris could challenge for scoring titles in her class.

JJ Black | Elkhorn Valley | Center | 5’10″
Maybe the most overlooked talent, Black was ranked near the top of class, amongst all freshman, with 9.9 points, 6.9 rebounds, 3.1 steals and 3.1 blocks per game. Her length causes fits for her opponents on both ends of the floor. Black does an excellent job establishing position and sealing defenders for a chance at high percentage shots. On the defensive side, she contests any shot near the rim and limits possession with her rebounding. Black is definitely one to watch and could have the Falcons contending.

Ellie Morgan | Wood River | Guard | 5’6″
Another quick guard, Morgan does a great job getting out in transition but can be a knock down shooter with too much space. During her first year of high school, Morgan produced 9.6 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.6 steals per game. Quick to turn a turnover into a bucket, Morgan is sneaky quick with her hands and her first step. She brings fantastic energy to the court and can be a sparkplug for her team. Week to week consistency is what Morgan needs to improve upon. As her confidence and skill grows, the stat sheet will be full for Morgan.
