Francis Marion Team Camp: 2023 Top Performers-Guards

The Francis Marion University Team Camp had no shortage of talent this past weekend in Florence. Let’s take a look at some of the 2023 Top Performers - Guards in the event right here. #RecruitThePalmettoState Jenna Yanity Jenna Yanity 5'4" | CG Lexington | 2023 State SC - Lexington HS  Yanity was all over the floor today with her play. Jenna didn’t hesitate one time to jump on the floor for a loose ball. She is the primary ball-handler for the Lady Wildcats and plays the game with a good attitude at all times. Jenna works for everything she deserves on the hardwood. She never takes a play-off while keeping a competitive edge and smile on her face. Amiyah Ferguson Amiyah Ferguson 5'9" | CG Timberland | 2023 State SC - Timberland HS (St Stephen)  Ferguson can really explode to the cup from the left-side of the floor. Amiyah really showed off her passing skills more today and a willingness to attack the rack. She can crossover a defender or simply drop a short jumper in your face at times. Amiyah is back for another year with the Wolves and running on the Grassroots Circuit with Upward Stars Southeast 2023. Jazmyne Lyde Jazmyne Lyde 5'9" | SF South Florence | 2023 State SC - South Florence HS  Lyde does a little bit of this and a little bit of that. Jazmyne scraps for everything she does on the floor. She is the ultimate stat sheet stuffer that will have to pick up the void this season with the graduation of Albany Wilson. Lyde jumped on the floor several times today when she wasn’t getting the cup. Jazmyne has the ability to finish with her left-hand very nicely at the rim. Janiya Swinton Janiya Swinton 5'6" | CG Wilson | 2023 SC - Wilson HS (Florence)  Swinton started off her career at Mullins HS before donning the Tigers uniform a season ago. Janiya dropped some nice mid-range jumpers today. She does a good job of really defending on the ball. The Lady Tigers will rely on her senior leadership this coming season. Kaelin Davis Kaelin Davis 5'4" | PG Military Magnet | 2023 State SC , Rykia Jakes Rykia Jakes 5'5" | SG Military Magnet | 2023 State SC and Chazmin Bradley Chazmin Bradley 5'2" | PG Military Magnet | 2023 State SC - Military Magnet (North Charleston) These ladies have won a lot of games over the years for the Eagles and a Class 1A State Championship last season. All of them have been very instrumental in building a powerhouse down in Chuck Town. Davis a left-handed guard is extremely smooth with the ball in her hands. Kaelin is a pesky defender who really can create so much offense from the defensive side of the floor. Jakes is a knockdown shooter who you can’t leave open on the floor. Rykia always shows to have good shot selection and a nice release. Bradley has no problems touching the paint and creating offensive looks for her teammates. Chazmin likes to play the game in attack mode while creating havoc on both ends of the floor. The Final Farewell for this trio.
