Peighton Jambor Peighton Jambor 6'2" | PF Berkeley | 2023 State SC – Berkeley HS (Moncks Corner)
Peighton really showed some face-up skills that I hadn’t really seen before in the past. She is constantly around the ball and always in communication around her teammates. Peighton really does a good job of filling the lane in transition and today showed some perimeter skills. She looked to put the ball on the deck some around the perimeter area while slashing to the cup. Jambor is a beast on the glass when it comes to rebounding the rock especially outside of her area.
Peris Smith Peris Smith 6'2" | PF North Augusta | 2023 State SC – North Augusta HS
Peris was able to use a jump-hook move along with a drop-step today around the cup to score the ball. Smith does a good job of setting screens and drawing contact down low. She will work for position down on the block and really thrives on bullying up defenders down low. Peris was able to drop a few short jumpers from 10-12 feet in today. Smith plays with a mean streak at times on the floor.
Lindsay Garner Lindsay Garner 6'2" | C Lexington | 2023 State SC – Lexington HS
Garner and Smith really went at it today in the opener. Lindsay was able to drop a few short jump hooks and really did a heck of a job cleaning up on the glass on both ends of the floor. She carved out space down low playing with her back to the basket when she wasn’t looking to knockdown the elbow jumper. Lindsay does a tremendous job of keeping the ball up high after rebounding it every time.
Tateyoina Harris Tateyoina Harris 5'11" | PF Camden | 2023 State SC – Camden HS (pictured on front)
Harris was all over the floor when it came to running down rebounds, picking up loose balls on the floor and putbacks on the glass. She plays the game extremely aggressive especially on the glass and in the passing lanes. Tateyoina really works from everywhere on the floor when it comes to running the floor, delivering second chance effort points, picking up a steal or simply just be productive. Harris doesn’t worry about her stats while in the game – she just brings production.
Makayla Watkins Makayla Watkins 5'7" | C Timberland | 2023 State SC – Timberland HS (St Stephen)
Watkins is an undersized post – more the less a center for the Lady Wolves. Makayla has a soft touch around the basket and good footwork. The footwork comes from being a soccer player where she plays goalkeeper. Watkins was quite effective at times today with her positioning and staying down low to the basket.
Just remember to #RecruitThePalmettoState – plenty of talent here in this class and many years to follow. This group of ladies can play some ball – college coaches it’s time to do your work now and recruit these players.
