Jayla Arnold-England Lady Ballers, 5’6” SG, England HS-Jayla is a soon-to-be sophomore swing guard. This lefty can use either hand efficiently. She is very quick which is the reason she leads her team in steals. On offense, she’s most effective working around the perimeter picking up screens to get open. When she can square up to the basket her shooting percentage is excellent.
Madison Bryant-England Lady Ballers, 5’4” SG, England HS-Madison is a gamer. She plays as hard as anyone on the court. A very intense defender, Madison has excellent footwork and plays the blue-collar role for her team. She has no problem guarding bigger opponents and will go to the floor for all loose balls. She’s smart and does not turn it over. Just an incoming freshman, she has the skills to be a four-year-lettermen for England High School.
Kinsey Clark-ENG 17U, 5’4” PG, Brookland HS-Kinsey is a true point guard. She handles the ball on every possession. Her touch-to-turnover ratio is excellent. Kinsey has great court vision penetrating and dishing off for high percentage shots. She doesn’t look to shoot much but at crunch time can draw the foul and knock down her free throws. In her upcoming junior year, she’ll need to be more of a scoring threat.
Mikall Johnson-JackCo Lady Bandits 15/16U, 5’8” SG, Newport HS-Mikall is a combo swing guard-swing forward player. She’ll be a junior at Newport High School next season. She is an excellent rebounder, both on the offensive and defensive ends of the court. Offensively she can create her shot and draw fouls. Her strong play inside is where she is most effective. Attacking the defense from the weak side and offensive rebounding are her strengths. She is long which makes her a mismatch for her opponents.
Carley Rich-ENG 17U, 5’6” SG, Jonesboro-Valley View HS-Carley is a shooter. Especially from the three-line. She prefers to move around the perimeter without the ball to catch and shoot. Carley has excellent footwork and squares up to the basket very well. This junior to be is smart, and when needed, can handle defensive pressure to help her team set up the offense. She is an excellent role player.
Evy Smith-ENG 16U, 5’4” PG, Jonesboro-Valley View HS-Evy is an excellent point guard that handles the ball on every possession. I’d describe her as gritty. She’s strong and tough. Her quickness allows her to penetrate the defense to create shots for her teammates. She can hit the 3 ball and averages over 2 steals per game. Her leadership skills will enable her to log multiple minutes as a junior next school season.
Jade Steele-Arkansas Lady Warriors 2024, 5’5” PG, Greenbrier HS-Soon to be a sophomore, Jade is a classic point guard that just doesn’t turn it over. She’s smart and can run the offense efficiently. She Is an excellent free-throw shooter and can penetrate and dish the rock. Playing summer ball at this level, Jade should log quality varsity minutes next school season.
Day 2 standouts will soon to follow!
