Briar Cox Briar Cox 5'11" | C Tipton | 2023 State MO (Tipton): The 5’11″ 2023 forward was one of the most productive players that I watched during the event as she scored and rebounded in the paint like a player who was 6’3 or 6’4. She displayed excellent footwork and she moved well around the post to established some prime position. She scored inside at a variety of angles and she also put in excellent work on the offensive boards. She also got out and ran the court in the transition game. She is an excellent worker who gets consistent results for her efforts.
Emilee DeHaas Emilee DeHaas 5'11" | PF Southern Boone County | 2023 State MO (Southern Boone): A 5’11″ lefty who plays and strong and sturdy game in the low post. She establishes her position very well inside and she can beat you with an effective drop step or a nice up and under move as well. She is a very good rebounder who also plays solid position defense with the ability to block shots.
Sydney Taylor (Cardinal Ritter): A 6’4″ forward who did a good job of using her size to her advantage at both ends of the floor. She is difficult to move when she establishes her position inside on offense or for rebounding. She did an excellent job of working in the high-low set with her ability to pass the ball. She has a strong presence on the defensive end with her size and ability to move.
Paige Morse (Southern Boone): A 6’0″ 2023 forward who is a transfer from Rock Bridge who is going to be a great edition to her new school. She is a good athlete with good length, which she used as an effective rebounder and shot blocker. She also runs the court very well in transition with a long and easy stride. She has smooth moves around the basket and a nice shooting touch. She has already committed to Columbia College.
Kaelyn Johnson Kaelyn Johnson 5'10" | SF Battle | 2023 State MO (Battle): The 5’10″ combo forward is the prototype stretch player who can open up the floor with her excellent 3-point shooting. Her ability to knock down high-arching 3-pointers off the catch really opens the floor for her Battle’s talented corps of guards to do their work with dribble penetration. She can also finish inside and get her share off offensive rebounds.
Nevaeh Campbell (Liberty North): A 5’8″ combo forward who played with a high motor at both ends of the court. She can operate inside despite being undersized because she is strong and she plays with maximum effort. She can also get out and push the ball on the dribble in the transition game without an outlet pass. She is also a versatile defender who can guard multiple positions.
