Maddy Genser Maddy Genser 5'6" | PG Newton South | 2023 State NewE , Newton South, Position PG, Class 2023
I was very impressed with what I saw from Maddy this season. I think Maddy is proving she is one of the top Point Guards in the state, and has the potential to play at the division 1 college level. She put up very impressive numbers for Newton South this past season. Maddy is a true point guard. She is a scorer, who can take over a game, and also sees the floor well. Maddy will often see double teams, and she does a good job finding the open teammates. She also rebounds the ball very well for a guard. Maddy is able to change speeds, and can control the pace of the game. Maddy has a very good assist to turnover ratio, a very important stat for a point guard. On defense Maddy is a very good on ball defender, and forces a bunch of turnovers. Once in a game Maddy had 11 steals. Here is some of her notable stat lines from the season.

Abigail Wright Abigail Wright 6'2" | SF Newton North | 2023 State NewE , Newton North, Position, Wing/F, Class 2023, HT, 6’2
Abigail had a big season for Newton North, and is proving to be one of the top prospects in Massachusetts. She is already receiving offers from mid major division 1 schools. She averaged a double double this past season with 22 points, and 11 rebounds. Abigail was named the Bay State conference MVP. Abigail had her clutch moment this past season, hitting a buzzer beater shot for the win against Chelmsford, in the division 1 state tournaments. Abigail is a versatile player. At 6’2, she can stretch the floor and hit three pointers, and also attack the rim off the dribble. Abigail has a good mix of an inside and outside game. She has a long reach, that makes it tough for offensive players to shoot over. Abigail has the ability to play like a guard, and also like a post. Her game will translate well to the college level. Here is some of her notable stat lines from this past season.

Ashlee Talbot Ashlee Talbot 5'6" | PG Dracut | 2023 State NewE , Dracut, Class 2023, Position PG
The floor general Ashlee Talbot Ashlee Talbot 5'6" | PG Dracut | 2023 State NewE , helped Dracut reach new heights this season. Dracut won the Merrimack Valley 2 conference, and reached the division 2 elite 8. Ashlee was named the conference player of the year. Ashlee is one of the top playmaking Guards I saw play this season. She averaged 18 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 steals. Ashlee is very skilled ball handling, and can get to the basket on any defender. She can changes speeds, and control the pace of the game. She sees the floor well, and is player you want running your offense. Ashlee plays really smooth, and has a great feel for the game. She has the take over the game factor, and when ever Dracut needed a big play, it seemed that Ashlee made it happen. Ashlee is also a threat to shoot from the outside and can knock down threes consistently. Ashely had one of the highlight plays in the state this season, making a behind the back no look shot to end a quarter. Defensively Ashlee forces a bunch of steals. She is good at pressuring ball handlers, and is active in the passing lane. Here is some of Ashlee’s notable stat lines:
