2023 Madison Aguilera Madison Aguilera 5'3" | PG Gulliver Prep | 2023 State FL recently earned an offer from Nichols College (MA). The Bison are a Division III program out of the Commonwealth Conference. Aguilera also received an offer from Warner University (FL) on May 5th. The Royals compete at the NAIA level in the Sun Conference. Aguilera averaged nearly 21.8 points per game while hitting 71 3-pointers as a junior. She hit nine three’s in a game against North Broward Prep and five or more in seven games overall. Aguilera was named first team All-Dade County by the Miami Herald after the season.
2023 Khyala Ngodu Khyala Ngodu 6'2" | PF Dillard | 2023 State FL is one of the best post players in South Florida. The 6-foot-3 prospect has a smooth mid-range jumper and soft touch around the basket. Ngodu’s length and ability to move also makes her an excellent rim protector. The Dillard/Team Fowles prospect holds offers from UCF, George Mason, Seton Hall, George Washington and others.
The Lady Stings are sending some of their players to college.
Danajah Peterson and Naire Lucas – Shawnee Community College
Dailmelys Morera – Hillsborough Community College
All three helped Miami High win 20 games and reach the Class 7A final. Peterson, a 5-foot-8 guard, averaged 5.8 points and 4.5 rebounds per game. She shot at least 50 percent or better from the floor in each of her four double-figure outings. Peterson scored a season-high 16 points against Florida State University (20-4).
Lucas, a 5-foot-9 power forward, averaged 5.5 points, 7.2 rebounds (2nd best) and 1.6 steals per game. Furthermore, she also blocked 16 shots. Lucas’ defensive ability gave Miami High an edge around the paint. She grabbed ten or more rebounds in five games.
Morera, a 6-foot forward, averaged 6.4 points and 4.8 rebounds per game. She shot at least 47 percent from the field in each of her six double-figure outings. Morera was efficient around the rim using her soft touch and length. In addition, her size made her a valuable contributor on defense.
Miami High featured a balanced roster with no player averaging more than 12 points per game. Eight different players averaged nearly five points per contest.
