The event was held from June 4-5 and featured some of the top talent in Southern California. I was able to attend the event on Saturday, June 4 at the Grand Terrace location. Here’s a quick look at some additional standouts I saw.
1. Destiny Ky’She Lunan – Valley Vista 2025
Lunan was impressive as a freshman playing up. Her halfcourt offense will come along, but she’s a very good player in the open court. She sprints out on the break ahead of the defense and can finish at the rim. She’s a decent ball-handler but in the games I saw she got most of her points off ball. She makes good cuts to the rim. She stood out defensively too. Plays good on-ball defense, gets her hands on passes and gets deflections/causes turnovers.
2. Quinsey Bryan – Cal Storm Taurasi 15U
Bryan stood out for being able to play both guard positions. She did well with the ball in her hands tasked as being a playmaker and she did well as a scorer. A good spot-up shooter from distance who can also put the ball on the floor if run off the three-point line. Catch and shoot player who also makes good entry passes if the defense closes out. Sets good screens for a wing. Good on-ball defender who does a good job pressuring the ball-handler.
3. Madison Huhn – Carlsbad 2023
A Miami University (OH) commit, Huhn stood out as a good long-range shooter, especially from the top of the arc. She can score with the ball in her hands or playing off-ball. Good catch and shoot player who is always in motion. She uses screens well to get free for a jumper. She can handle the ball a little bit in the halfcourt and hit pull-up jumpers off the dribble.
4. Skye Belker Skye Belker 5'8" | SG Windward HS | 2023 State CA – Princeton 2023
A Princeton commit, Belker is a solid wing who score in different ways. She’s a good catch and shoot player who does well moving without the ball and freeing herself up for a pass. She’s also able to score with the ball in her hands. She can put the ball on the floor and drive baseline to the rim. Can draw contact and get to the free-throw line. She can shoot off the dribble too either from three-point range or a pull-up from midrange.
