Jazlynn Curtis CG 2026 (San Jose Prep) (pictured above) Describing Curtis as athletic is an understatement. She is strong, fast, shifty, and can play some basketball. It was really impressive seeing the responsibility already given to the young guard – initiating the offense and being responsible for inbounds plays, etc. Curtis was impressive on both sides of the ball. She is strong and physical. She has very active hands and feet, and she is not afraid to get up in the opponent’s space. During summer league play, Curtis was a very confident player, who made very good decisions with the ball. She drove the ball and also used the threat of the drive to create open shots for her teammates. Curtis played well in transition and can finish the drive. She also connected on a few mid-range jumpers. Curtis showed very good court vision and was very impressive at advancing the ball up the court with a pass or dribble.
Mia Chandler, 6’0″ C 2026 (Orange Park). The game against San Jose Prep goes into overtime and late in regulation, Chandler is helping to lead the charge. She is posting up on the blocks, taking the ball to the goal, drawing fouls, and getting to the free-throw line. Later, Chandler steals a ball in the open court and takes it to the house for a layup. These were plays that the young center was making down the stretch. She looked like a talented young center who just finished middle school. The things that the young center displayed on the court are intangibles that are not taught. Chandler can also play some defense. She plays the passing lanes well, she is a good shot blocker, and she also runs the court very well. She will be a young player to watch this upcoming season.
Kamauria Page Kamauria Page SG NFEI | 2025 State FL SG 2025 (San Jose Prep). Page shot the ball extremely well during Monday night’s game. She doesn’t force her shots and she has a very quick release. She doesn’t need much space and has the shooting ability to force a team out of a zone defense. Page also does a good job of moving the ball on offense. She doesn’t hold the ball if her shot isn’t there. Defensively, she uses her length to play passing lanes and also get rebounds. She is a selfless player who is really going to be counted on for scoring and leadership this upcoming season.
Destiny Sanders, PF 2026 (San Jose Prep). Sanders was impressive on the court in Summer play. She brings toughness to the court. She plays a physical style of game and doesn’t back down from contact or competition. Sanders rebounded well, played tough defense, attacked the basket, and did a good job of drawing fouls. Sanders runs the court well and is very good in transition. She fills the lanes well on fast breaks and is also good at getting behind the defense. Sanders is a versatile player who does a good job of handling the basketball and can bring it down herself and initiate the offense.
Kaylee Singh PF, 6’2 2026 (Sandlewood). Sing played her role well in the one game I watched in the summer league. She brings a no-nonsense approach to the game and she really competes out there on the court. Singh fights for every rebound and every loose ball and once she gets the ball it’s not coming out of her hands. She is very strong with the ball. She really did a good job of rebounding on both ends of the court. Singh paired with Jada Jones Jada Jones 6'4" | PF Sandalwood | 2023 State FL in the front court is going to give opponents some fits in the paint.
